18th-Dec-2011 05:30 am - Choose Your Adventure...

Today is the day.

You may have come to the Land of Departure seeking strength, skills or chasing a dream. Or maybe you came because you're trying to escape something: a desolate world, crippling self doubt, or had nowhere else to go. Either way, it's been a long journey with Sora, training and learning and fighting to earn the right to earn the right to wield the keyblade, to earn the right to travel the worlds, to earn the right to be called Master. It's the answer to everything, it's what you've wanted, and it's going to fix everything. It just has to. Everything you've done so far has led up to this moment...

Scenario 1 - Apprentice )

Scenario 2 - Wielder )

Scenario 3 - Master )

[ooc: Adult!Sora is an older Keyblade Master. And It's the day you become a Master/keyblade wielder. (Think of it as Sora's a knight and you're the squire/and or a fellow master}. No knowledge necessary of the KH universe. Feel free to deviate from the concept, change things in canon and wing it if you're unfamiliar, or even do multiple threads for each scenario! I'll follow your lead.]

12th-Dec-2011 03:07 am - All I want for Christmas is...
[Christmas isn't always a fairytale. It's not always about Santa, or getting presents. Not always about families, not always about togetherness.]

[Sometimes, Christmas equates to isolation. It's something Roxas has gotten used to.]

[Here in the orphanage, plenty of kids are getting excited over the season. It's the season to be jolly-- and the season for couples to feel that little pang of longing, to have a young one of their own bouncing into their room, ripping the colorful paper off presents and beaming up at the camera that will capture them for ages to come.]

[So the orphanage opens it's doors, lets more people in than usual and gives the children a chance to be at their best- playing, fighting, crying; laughing, in front of the many potential mothers and fathers that look their way. Roxas just doesn't understand it.]

[So he stays out of the way, under a tree with his little black book, and writes about far off worlds with disappearing cats and talking caterpillars, because when you don't know what you're missing--]

[How can you want it?]

[OOC: Meet a smaller Roxas than usual- around eight years old and brimming with confusion over the current events. Essentially playing up his lack of understanding to both christmas and family, so-- feel free to pull him from that isolation.]
[ The sound of bells ringing, the smell of cookies baking in the oven, and the over abundance of red and green decorating the halls and the like- all of these things point to one thing: it's that time special time of year called Christmas.

Kids with rosy cheeks from going outside in the cold and parents making lists to figure out what to get for their kids and their friends' kids and so on. Laughter and excited chatter is always in the air, warm wishes and the general "what are you doing for the holidays" is always the most frequent topic among the people. And then at the end of the day, maybe people would nestle in front of their fireplaces, drinking hot chocolate with a mountain of marshmallows on top of it or reading Christmas stories to their children before retiring for the night.

But that's only one side to this joyous holiday. The other side is so much more hectic. Wanna know what that is?

Christmas shopping.

Gotta get those presents for those loved ones before they're out of stock and then you'll be up a tree. A trip to the mall is in order of course, but going there just for presents is only half the battle. The other half is making sure your kid gets that chance to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what they want for that special day, squeezing in a picture or two with the man in the red suit and maybe with one of the Santa's helpers too.

And there's one elf in particular who looks absolutely happy to be there as he rings the bells in his hand while directing the next kid to go sit with Santa.

Or rather she.

Roxas is having a great time really, dressed in his costume. Why he's there, well. Let's just say he got volunteered by an "unknown" person and couldn't back out at the last second because the other elf volunteer had managed to bail before him. So he's stuck until he can clock out of there. ]

No cutting in line, please. You'll all get your chance to tell Santa want you want for Christmas.

[ Meet Roxas, aka Peppermint. ]

[ ooc; FAMILY PORTRAIT EVENT!! Feel free to have your character be whoever you want them to be to him. He's not going to be in the best of moods and wondering just why in the world he's dreaming this in the first place. Obviously he needs a spot of sunshine in his dreary life. 8) ]
9th-Dec-2011 01:28 am - And a merry Christmas to all
[It's that special day that comes once a year, when families gather together to spend the day making merry and exchanging gifts. And no one could be more excited than Sora. In fact, he's decorated the family home, preparing it just for today. And there are so many gifts under the tree, just waiting to be opened. In fact, he's sitting there, absolutely excited. He's just waiting on someone.

And that someone is his family: you.]

[[OOC: Be whoever you want to be to him! Just expect special presents and possibly fun in the snow outside after said presents.]]
[ today, you've gotten a call from a nurse at Abbott-Alabaster Hospital. there's a family member currently occupying one of their rooms and as their kin, you're notified.

for some reason (to lecture, to scold, to make fun of, to be a good sibling, etc) you've found it in you to take time out of your very busy schedule (or maybe it's an empty one) to come down and see him.

and there, in room 301, he sits.

Riku covers his mouth as he coughs and looks over as you enter. his face is red and his eyes are dim, hair a mess. he looks somewhat damp--not surprising given what the nurse told you about his situation. apparently, he saved someone from drowning on one of the frozen lakes--the ice cracked and he fell in and then had to be fished out.

he slowly turns his back to the figure. ]

I told them not to call anyone.

[ he's a big boy. B( go away. ]

[ooc: if it's not too much trouble, i'm thinking of threads happening chronologically--first thread first and so forth. so far I have a stepsister for Riku and a dad (stepdad? idk Eleven does what he wants) so besides those, go ahead and throw any family member you want!]

[The room is open and bright, all old, dark wood and sunlight spilling in through the large windows. It's a nice enough room, walls lined with bookcases and with a large fireplace on one side. In the centre of the room is a table and two chairs, and on the table a chessboard. The pieces aren't black and white but made of wood, one side the colour of maple the other stained darker. There is a half-drunk glass of brandy by the chessboard, lipstick smudged on the side, and the record player in the corner is playing Glenn Miller. Everything about the room speaks of an earlier time - unless, of course, you're from an earlier time yourself. Then it probably doesn't.

There's a woman by the window, a cigarette held carelessly in her hand as she leans out the open window. Red lipstick marks the end of the little white cylinder. She looks like she belongs here, which is to say she has the same sense of an earlier time. She's wearing a pale blue dress, buttoned down the front and belted at the waist, and heels, her brown hair curling around her shoulders. Though she looks fairly harmless, there's a sense of something. A pressure at the back of your mind, like someone reaching out and touching. She freezes and glances over her shoulder. Her eyes are blue, their intent focus at odds with her otherwise calm expression. When she speaks, she sounds curious, but not alarmed. However, there is a definite hint of steel beneath her British accent. It's a warning for anyone who might want to cause trouble.]

How did you get here?
3rd-Nov-2011 10:38 am - [012 ☿] Mer-cury
She's a mermaid, slipping through the water even faster than her normal body could do, darting beneath the waves and breathing her element. Her tail, shimmering blue and silver scales, flickers to speed her along. Sapphires adorn her ears and neck. When she surfaces, finally, she rests on a small rock outcropping, and plays her harp.

The music is clear and lovely. When her voice joins it, lilting and enticing, it becomes irresistible. Nothing like it belongs to this world. Ships divert their courses, heading straight for the rocks, heedless and helpless.

The inevitable wreckage causes chaos. Men shout and struggle to keep themselves afloat. A black-haired soldier determined to reach Mercury finally comes close, only for the mermaid to grab him with unnatural strength and drag him beneath the water with her in a grasping and clinging embrace. She laughs coldly, stirring up a cloud of bubbles that entangle themselves in her hair that wavers with the current. She likes luring them to her.

These sailors and soldiers are far from the first. In the background, the remains of several ships pile up against the misty horizon, notably one marked as the SS Senshi.

[ooc: join in the mer-cury's mischief, be drowned or wrecked (or spared if you're a friend!), just swim together, anything goes. can tell me what you'd prefer.]
[ it is precisely 12:00AM on a cold morning and there is a parade. a large, lavish parade of black, orange, yellow, red--a parade. Alabaster, Alaska is currently celebrating the start of Halloween. Everyone's cheering outside as the parade marches through the main street of the town. Fireworks, sparklers, flashlights--there are children that're running around with differently colored flashlights and all. it seems like it's a huge gathering--

no wonder the cafe is completely empty.

Riku sits right up against the window, at a table. he's not dressed in orange or black; just navy blues and a white scarf around his neck. he has a few pastries in a box in front of him as well as some coffee. a gift-wrapped box and two cards are next to his other items, but his eyes are on the door.

he's expecting a visitor on his birthday. ]
26th-Oct-2011 02:22 pm - 006 | home again |
[ This dream is a treat for all those who find themselves with the Doctor. As normal, he's spinning around the console and piloting the ship that looks like it's made out of odds and ends. He is rambling on of course, something about one of his favorite times of the year. Even though he can go through all of time and space, so technically the time of year can be repeating over and over for him. With a wave of his hand he ignores whatever you decide to say, and spins on his heels. The central column of the TARDIS stops moving and he bolts towards the doors and throws them open. ]

Right then! The old girl got to be very random with this. I just gave her the holiday and she decided where to put us! Bit of a gamble, I'd say, but what's life without a bit of adventure, eh? So, I present to you: All Hallows Eve!

In some varying year. We'll figure that out in a bit. Ought to be a news paper around here somewhere.

(( OOC: Non-event post! Happy Halloween everyone! Each person will get their own place they go to for Halloween~ :3 ))
