[ It's a bright morning and the sun is shining. The air is crisp. It's a new day for new beginnings— it's an almost perfect day. It's the first day of class.

The morning had started like most others, albeit with a bit of a late start. That much isn't unusual. It's the sense of deja vu that he can't shake, like he's been through this day before, and that this may be the second, third, or fourth time he's played through it all. He can't explain it, but he remembers eating the last bite of his breakfast, managing to lock his door in a rush, all while his mentor's words ring in his head: first impressions are important, Yukimura-!

That's something he's remembering even now as he glances at his watch— ]

Yes, Oyakata-sama...!

[ But it's that moment of distraction (that he's been through before, he's sure he remembers it) that catches him off guard, and he doesn't know what - or who - he hits, but he knows, when he finally lands on the ground, it's going to hurt.

When his eyes finally open and he manages to sit on the pavement, he winces. ]

I'm terribly sorry--

[ This meeting has happened before (he knows it in his bones); but who will he meet this time? ]

((ooc; Yukimura is reliving his first day at school. Or... technically not quite at school yet. Tag in as someone he ran into, or someone who saw him take a dive, or however you like! ))

For anyone wandering into this dream they would find simple countryside, dirt roads passing through rice patties and wooded areas, the surroundings hazy and implied but coming into more distinct clarity the closer they came to a small house. The weather was chilly, the wind bringing a bit of a bite when it came through the trees now and then, taking leaves with it on each gust.

Tomoe was cleaning, a simple broom in hand as she swept in front of the small house. Her expression, as always, was markedly blank, at least for anyone who wasn't used to her. In truth there was a faint note of unease in her frame and the way her brows were subtly drawing now and then as she worked--but the list of those who would pick up on that were few and far between. She had misplaced something. Forgotten something. She was well aware of it, but no matter how hard she thought on it or looked she could not find it. She couldn't even remember what she was looking for, only that 'it' was missing.

It was then that she noticed someone approaching and moved carefully to the path leading up to the house, watching the newcomer owlishly. They certainly didn't look like they had traveled from Otsu.

"Are you looking for the medicine seller...?"

[ooc; Cut for tl;dr weirdness explanation )]
