one passing night
the evening is spread out against the sky

[ Aerith is in a playground, an obvious wreck with rusted equipment and a busted port-a-potty. It's raining, and she twirls a red umbrella over her shoulder as she sits on the metal slide with a moogle's face. The top is just wide enough for a couple to sit. ]

Back here again ... there are so many memories here. But now, I want to make new ones.

[ She scoots over on the slide, sending herself on a easy slide down to hop off at the end and then splash-skip out of a puddle. She pats off her dress before looking back up the slide with a smile. ]

Of course the best way to do that is with someone else. Let's see ... before it was about deal-making, but I think it's time to stop that. I'm not looking for a hero or that "perfect someone". Someone who will walk with me is perfect. Hee. Well then, I'll be going. Will you come along? We could share this umbrella.

[ An event post! Your character doesn't have to be evented, though; if you don't want to play it out, then Aerith's been talking to a guy on the slide ... who seems to be simply forgotten out of the dream before anything can be noted about him. (Is this a practice run?) I kind of want to play up the surreality of a dream, so if they do go on a walk -- their walk could easily take them out of Midgar, despite the city's size. ]
11:32 pm - Non-event intro
The first impression one gets is that this place...is a hospital. Very new, with some futuristic technology that doesn't seem very hospital-like - IVs replaced by what look like Clearasil pads, for example, and then there's the endless urban view outside - but even in the future there's no mistaking the smell of sterilization, or the sounds of beeping heart machines, or the sight of doctors in bloodied scrubs washing their newly-ungloved hands at sinks.

The group of doctors have just finished, judging by the blood, a rather difficult operation. Difficult, but successful. And it's quite clear who they have to thank, judging by the fact that they are all congratulating one person as she takes her surgical mask off. She's clearly the youngest of the group. And somehow - despite the praise, despite being the one who saved the patient - her reaction is simply to nod and continue washing her hands. Then, after that, she simply begins to walk off towards the locker room, merely stating that she would change and prepare for the next patient.

At best it could be construed as shyness - of course the faculty all know that the newest member of the crew kept to herself and didn't like to mingle much. Nor was she much of a bedside person for some patients. But the neurosurgery wing wasn't exactly a place for the weak or gentle of heart, and besides that, her ample talent more than made up for her deficiencies. And given those talents the hospital wanted to keep her - and so did her fellow surgeons.

Thus, the woman known to normal society as Dr. Aki Izayoi was left to her own devices in the locker room. That is, she was left to her own devices until now...

((OOC: WOW I FINALLY POSTED. So, uh. Hi. XD; ))
[ Tonight's dream is a simple dream. From the streets of Tokyo's Juuban district is a set of stairs that leads up to a second floor cafe. FRUIT PARLOR CROWN. It's a quaint family cafe. Plenty of booth seats and table seats all around. Large windows cover two of the four walls of the cafe, giving the area plenty of natural light for everyone to see.

In a corner booth of the cafe, it's empty except for one person and that person is Usagi Tsukino. The table she's at seems too large for her but there's something about it that exudes the feeling that she should be there -- that there isn't any place else in the cafe that she'd look right sitting at. She's sitting at one of the single chairs, a large parfait sitting in front of her as she sips on it contentedly.

She's not waiting for anyone.. or is she?
