[Anya is sitting behind the counter of the Magic Box, like she does most days. And she's going over one of the ledgers like she has been lately since Giles keeps making her double check everything. But she's still watching the patrons out of the corner of her eye.

No, they can't usually do that to vampires, [she answers, some frustrating leaking through at Anya's complete inability to understand... everything.] I did go and tell him, in L.A., like a month ago.

Darla is his sire, she who made him a vampire? They had a thing back when he was evil. A major thing. But she kind of never stopped being evil, so they haven't gotten along since. Or so I thought, anyway. [Yes, Willow's still grumpy about this. Girl can hold a petty grudge.]

I know what a sire is. [The demon world she understands...everything else...not so much.] Well, sometimes evil can be attractive to people. Or I remember Xander trying to explain to me that sometimes people do weird things when people die, maybe doing his sire is his way of dealing with his grief over Buffy?

I don't know why he doesn't. I'd be inclined to go with Xander's explanation here, if it weren't for the fact that he doesn't remember his grief at all. Not even a tiny bit bereaved, just confused.

Well, Buffy mentioned this being a dream...maybe that's why he doesn't remember anything.

Well, if this is a dream it's my dream, which means I'm the one making it up. Which I guess means maybe it really wasn't Buffy. But then again, maybe it's not even Willow I'm talking to right now, if this is all just my dream.
