[Anya is sitting behind the counter of the Magic Box, like she does most days. And she's going over one of the ledgers like she has been lately since Giles keeps making her double check everything. But she's still watching the patrons out of the corner of her eye.

If there's one thing Anya hates, it's people who loiter around and never buy anything. They are the leeches of Capitalist society, as far as she's concerned.]

If you don't want to be thrown out of the store, I highly recommend you actually purchase something.

"Only when they loiter and waste my time instead of purchasing something like a proper consumer." In general, Anya wasn't fantastic with dealing with customers, and usually left that part to Willow or Giles, but she was slowly getting a little better.

"Well," he says, laughing and pulling out his wallet. "I guess it's a good thing that I'm not wasting your time then." He waggles the wallet in front of her, a promise that he'll leave with something, even if it's not going to be much use to him later.

"How long have you been working ere," he questions then, simply curious and in the mood to make conversation.

"For about a year now," She replied with a smile. "Giles hired me after how good he saw I was with money and inventory." She was proud of herself, being able to hold up a job like a regular human.

He picks up on the pride she has and smiles a little. She's sweet, it's kind of endearing. "And who's Giles? Does he own the store?"

She's much more endearing when she isn't telling people about how many orgasms her boyfrend gives her. Which is many. She nods her head. "He does, but he's giving it to me because he's going back to England. Because he's British."

He nods, paging through his book as he listens. "Well, it seems like the shop is going to fall into very good hands." He nods at her approvingly.

"Do you mind if I come back again? Or have I worn out my welcome with all the questions?" He laughs a little, peering at her with curiosity.

"I'm certainly the best person for the job. Willow may be more knowledgeable about magic, but I'm a better capitalist. I was the obvious choice." She wasn't afraid to show her ego a little there.

At his question, however, she shook her head. "I would never object to a returning customer."

"So, there's three of you," he observes with a nod. "Giles, Willow and you. Anyone else hiding in the cracks?"

Don't mind him Anya, he's just feeling nosy. He'll probably pay and leave you be in a few minutes, just consider it intelligence gathering.

"Well, Willow doesn't actually work here, but she spends enough time hanging around here that she might as well. So really, it's just me and Giles. And soon it'll be just me."

She wasn't planning on hiring other workers. They would take her money, which she didn't want. She liked her money.

[He nods.] It sounds like you're looking forward to it. That's probably gd.

[He looks down at again, digging out his wallet and pulling out his card. He really does have no idea what he's going to do with the book once he leaves with it but well he'll figure something out.]

*I'm sure I'll be coming back. [He smiles.] You've been a wonderful help, after all.

Of course I'm looking forward to it, why shouldn't I?

[She takes the money from him, gleefully counting it. The only thing she likes more than customers are ones that came back.]

I look forward to servicing you again in the future.

[He laughs giving her a little wave before pulling out a few extra dollars and leaving it on the counter.] A tip [he says before turning to leave.] I hope you have a good day.

{And with that he's out the door, curious to page through his new acquisition and see what, if anything, he can get out of it.]
