[007 ☿] Dream a little dream
[It's been a rainy dream, as Mizuno Ami (aged seven) walks home. Her backpack looks quite plump and full, probably due to the extra books she brings to have something to focus on during lunch.
Some things distract even her.
Ami hops across a few small puddles then, after a quick thought to decide it's alright, she hops across a much larger one. She sails through the air- and clears her target! All dry. She giggles in satisfaction.
The rain has stopped by now and there's a playground nearby, where the ground and equipment are somehow dry enough to use. Ami has a long time before Mama will be home, and she knows the people who live around here and play at this spot.
She can finish her homework after dinner (and she really will). Right now, she really wants to play. She climbs carefully into the seat of one of the swings, which turns out to be a touch too high for her and she pumps her legs but barely gets up momentum.
She might need a little help. She could also use a friend to play with.]

ksljdlksj the cute
A person with wings would be an angel. Or a fairy.
[The seriousness is soon lost as Naruto swings her higher and higher. Ami kicks her feet randomly as she sails through the air, not trying to pump the swing now but simply to enjoy the height and motion.]

You're really moving dattebayo!
no subject
She wants to ask to go higher, but it feels rude when he's already doing this for her, so she doesn't. Instead, she pumps her legs for real again, gaining a bit more height.]
I can push you next, if you want!
[He might not get far, but she can do it!]
no subject
Hey, you want to fly? [ he was grinning now, wide. ]
You wanna fly with me?
no subject
People can't fly! [She may be young, Naruto, but really. She knows reality and not-reality.]
no subject
Rules, shmules! I'm Konoha's #1 maverick! [ he wasn't going to let a silly thing like rules and gravity hold him down. Why? He was dreaming! He was dreaming in some little girl's dream, and while that was a lot of strange... confusing words, whatever! if he wanted to fly, he was gonna damn well fly. ]
[ Naruto got on the swing beside her. he started pumping his legs, kicking off from the ground, and he was quickly at Ami's height. he knew if he asked, she'd get scared, so he quickly grabbed her hand, grinning. ]
Here we go! Hope you brought your wings!
[ he knew he probably sounded insane, but Ami wasn't going to have a choice in the matter. And suddenly, Naruto jumped out of his swing, and he brought Ami with him. ]
[ there was a brief moment that Naruto felt he forgot dream mechanics, and they were flying through the air, but not defying gravity--but then, the young ninja thought hard, and suddenly, he and Ami were flying up, up and into the air, the blond holding onto her hand as they soared upwards. ]

OK, flying was definitely a good time not to follow the rules anymore. She lets out a quick, scared noise when Naruto grabs her and she thinks they're going to fall, she's sure they're going to fall... and then they don't. They fly.
Her face lights up immediately with the incredulous wonder of the slow-motion, dreamy sensation.]
You were right! You were really really right!
no subject
Your wings must have worked! [ he grins, but then think about it. What if the little girl woke up and tried to fly on her own, thinking it was real and got seriously hurt?! ] Uh, but don't try flying without me'ttebayo.
no subject
But that it's pretty fun to fly in dreams.]
How can you fly? Are you magical? [After all, the evidence of something magic is right here in front of her.]
no subject
no subject
But I never did anything magic before.
[Skeptical, apparently.]

When you make someone happy, by just being you, you become someone important to someone else! And when they think about you, you give them the ability to do anything! [ He was speaking from the heart. ] You made me fly, after all.
[ the blond looked at her, and smiled. ]
What's your name?
no subject
Young and still innocent, it still makes her happy - like the dreams she's had sometimes of riding on a white pegasus.]
I'm Mizuno Ami.
no subject
So Ami! What do you want to be when you grow up?
no subject
no subject
Dreams or important, so don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it dattebayo! And...
[ he smiled. ] ...If you think everyone doesn't believe you...
...Just remember I'll always believe in you.
Besides, girls with great dreams are the best!

She'll wonder what on Earth made her even capable of dreaming words like that, when she wakes up. And of course the answer at hand is a simple, if pathetic one: She wants someone to believe in her like that, to treat her kindly, to be there even when others aren't.
Right now, however, it simply makes her happy. She calls out her dream to the world at large:]
My dream is to be a doctor. My dream and Mama's!
no subject
I wanna be Hokage! The most powerful in the village!
We'll both do it, Ami! We'll show them what's what!
[ he looked down, starting to slowly lower the both of them down towards earth. ]
no subject
I had fun. Thank you very much for helping me fly.
no subject
Get home safely!
