[008 ☿] Cliff-Diving

[There's a gorgeous view from up here: a rocky cliff face overlooking the sea. The breeze plays with her hair as Ami waits at the very highest point, right on the edge. She looks down, an angle likely to give vertigo but she only grins broader.

She's going to jump.

She lets go, and her body suddenly looks so small against the backdrop of open sky as she plummets towards the water and sinks beneath the waves. The movement is a thrilling rush and the moment she's immersed, she smiles. She lets herself stay there, savoring the feeling, and she rises to the surface only reluctantly and belatedly.]

(ooc: not necessarily theme, but I'm open to theme antics as well if anyone wanted to catch her here for them; let me know)

[Yui kicks forward, reaching for Ami's hand with an expression of curiosity on her face.]

Ami watches Yui closely, with a little smile that never wavers, as she tugs Yui tugs her, gently enough.]

[Have a skeptical raised eyebrow, but a smile. Since it's not like she's being equally cheesy in her own intro, noooo....]

[Ami doesn't bother answering. Instead, she pulls Yui down beneath the water even as she sinks beneath it herself. Still holding hands, she finally presses forward to do what seems to have been building for so long: She goes to kiss Yui.]

[Well, there goes her breath. Her eyes shut instinctively in the water and she tenses, tightening her grip on Ami's hand--]

[Oh, well isn't this romantic. Or something. And very watery. Yui laughs, sending bubbles rising to the surface, pushes closer to Ami and deepens the kiss.]

[They can't stay down here too long, and even as Ami parts her lips to accept Yui, she's starting to bring them to surface.]

[Ami emerges from the water, which rolls down toned legs to drip back into the sea. She heads towards a small pile of neatly-folded towels, each of them thick and fluffy. (Were they there before?)]

[Don't mind Yui exchanging her soaked blouse for a fluffy towel, hugging herself with a shiver.]

[Ami nods and, whether it was there before or not, there is also now a picnic basket right on the ground by a large rock, right in the direction she indicates.

She acts as if this isn't unusual, and towels her hair.]

[Yui, drier than she should be for the circumstances, pads over to the rock and kneels, opening the basket curiously.]

[She quirks an eyebrow but, indulgently, plays along today. She steps closer to Yui quite boldly, expectant.]

[Yui runs her fingertips down Ami's arms and pulls her close for a quick kiss. She is indeed being a tease, and she knows it, but it doesn't stop her from pulling away abruptly and collapsing onto the ground, where the picnic blanket is spread out--was it before? Hard to tell.]

[There or not, it doesn't matter. Ami is just about to return the kiss when it vanishes. She tosses her head, and flops onto the blanket beside Yui.]

Why?

[The question might come as sudden, but to Yui it feels methodical. Motives--questioned. Ever since Miaka, that's what she's been doing. Why is she wanted? Why does Ami want her? It's not enough to know that she does; Yui is selfish. She wants to know why.]
