[This is neither the red planet nor the vast imperial city that she’s previously been seen in. It’s a simple clearing that leads to a cliff. It allows a nice view of the ocean, which strangely enough has absolutely no movement. No tide, no crashing waves against the rocks. Nothing. And for the curious wanderer they can go through the thicket of trees a bit further back but no matter what direction they go it’ll always lead to the same cliff. On the edge of it, overlooking the vast and unmoving waters is Seth, who seems just as unmoving as the rest of the dream. Her eyes are shut and an attentive eye will note two things. She doesn’t appear to be breathing at all(not that it was needed in dreams any ways) and there’s a scar that encircles her neck. And despite the presence of another person in the dream she still doesn’t move. Nothing moves. Everything is perfectly still and silent.
And when a few more minutes pass she finally sighs softly. With her peace interrupted there is no more point in pretending she doesn't know that there’s someone in the area.]
You know, this really isn’t a place fit for others. [And while that statement would normally be a bit teasing or harsh sounding that’s not so. It’s spoken softly and followed by a quiet laugh. After the laugh she finally turns her attention away from the ocean scenery.]
It might be a good idea to focus on your home. You probably don't want to stay here.
((ooc; No excuse for the post spamming(mild of course) other then the fact this probably won't ever get to happen. That being said, this is post-canon!Seth by a few years. Which means still witty remarks just less racism and bitch moods and other spoilery things that you can probably figure out.))

If not... what can she do out here, so far from any help? She'll have to try to resuscitate the girl, obviously... even secrecy comes to second to that. She makes a serious face as she schools herself to focus.]

I'm fine. Don't worry.

Thank goodness. How do you feel? Do you need something?

[Which was perhaps still a first for her. It took centuries, it took death itself taking her away from the world but she was actually fine. Death aside.]

You lay so still. I didn't even notice signs of life, at first.

I see.
This may sound very strange, but, where is this? I've come a far way out of my way, it seems like.

[Or at least that's where she always envisioned herself to be. Death was a fickle thing and Seth was just a fickle. There was the distinct chance they were just nowhere important too.]

I must return as soon as I can.

There was no possibility of leaving you here alone.
And, even if I would wish to, I have no way to return right now. Shall we go together awhile?
no subject
I can only go so far but I'll stick with you for as long as I can.

Thank you. I promise I will not ask for more. I feel very badly to have put you out.

[It's a mild exaggeration, but life on Auldrant has finally reached something of a lull. Col. (retired) Jade Balfour-Curtiss stands beside her, lightly resting his hand on her shoulder. He's never been to this particular cliff by the sea, but there he has a sense of nostalgia about it. Superficially, this place almost resembles Tataroo Valley, as he last visited it ten years ago. Except instead of welcoming a friend back, he can't help but feel like this is a time to say goodbye.]
It has been a while, Seth.
no subject
It has. I assume you've been busy or the opposite and you've taken to the lazy lifestyle.

I see that you've had a wild time while I was away, if that new scar is any evidence. You haven't gotten into too much trouble, have you?

[Oh, Seth. She doesn't seem to have aged a day since they first met in Elegy, and here he's going grey around the temples. So much for age.]
... No, I suppose it would lose its appeal after that long. However, that does not explain how you managed to injure yourself like that.

[It's the joys of nanomachines, dreams and various other factors. At least she's playing nice and not making fun of him for it.]
You're smart enough to be able to figure out what the most probable cause for it is. If not, then I'm afraid you'll simply never find out.
no subject
[Anyway, you don't get a scar like that for simple horseplay. Anything that severe is more than likely to be lethal. And there's at least one person he knows of that's capable of hurting a Crusnik host like that.]
So, this is Purgatory, is it? I expected more cleansing fire and repentance.

In older times humans thought some people lingered on even after they died because they have unfinished business or because of regrets. Generally all unpleasant reasoning. Personally I just like the view better.

[He takes a moment to adjust his glasses. This is... quite a bit to take in.]
Is this also where the living reconcile with the dead?

I... I came here to say farewell.

I'm glad. You've been...well you've been nosy jerk and I should have hit you the first time I saw you. But you didn't try and kill me or outcast me for being inhuman. That's- actually that's not important now. What I mean to say is thanks.
