[This is neither the red planet nor the vast imperial city that she’s previously been seen in. It’s a simple clearing that leads to a cliff. It allows a nice view of the ocean, which strangely enough has absolutely no movement. No tide, no crashing waves against the rocks. Nothing. And for the curious wanderer they can go through the thicket of trees a bit further back but no matter what direction they go it’ll always lead to the same cliff. On the edge of it, overlooking the vast and unmoving waters is Seth, who seems just as unmoving as the rest of the dream. Her eyes are shut and an attentive eye will note two things. She doesn’t appear to be breathing at all(not that it was needed in dreams any ways) and there’s a scar that encircles her neck. And despite the presence of another person in the dream she still doesn’t move. Nothing moves. Everything is perfectly still and silent.

And when a few more minutes pass she finally sighs softly. With her peace interrupted there is no more point in pretending she doesn't know that there’s someone in the area.
]

You know, this really isn’t a place fit for others. [And while that statement would normally be a bit teasing or harsh sounding that’s not so. It’s spoken softly and followed by a quiet laugh. After the laugh she finally turns her attention away from the ocean scenery.]

It might be a good idea to focus on your home. You probably don't want to stay here.

((ooc; No excuse for the post spamming(mild of course) other then the fact this probably won't ever get to happen. That being said, this is post-canon!Seth by a few years. Which means still witty remarks just less racism and bitch moods and other spoilery things that you can probably figure out.))

[Some sort of juice, or even water... But there's nothing like that here, and Mercury is forced to accept that. She nods, eyes still riveted to Seth.]

You lay so still. I didn't even notice signs of life, at first.

[They do? Mercury shoots Seth a quick, quizzical look, but drops the subject with so little encouragement.]

I see.

This may sound very strange, but, where is this? I've come a far way out of my way, it seems like.

Thank you. [Oh, no. They aren't meant to be on Earth, and come to think of it, has she heard of that territory? Yet she has studied Earth's politics - of course - and thus, she should have.]

I must return as soon as I can.

[Mercury shakes her head, and tries for a smile; it falls a little flat, but well-meant nonetheless.]

There was no possibility of leaving you here alone.

And, even if I would wish to, I have no way to return right now. Shall we go together awhile?

[She has no idea precisely where she is, or any way to reach the Moon and the Moon Castle from here.]

Thank you. I promise I will not ask for more. I feel very badly to have put you out.

[identity profile] waterfell.livejournal.com 2011-06-21 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you. I appreciate all of your assistance.

[Mercury follows obediently, alert to her surroundings - she never feels wholly safe on Earth - but willing to trust her guide for the moment.]

[identity profile] waterfell.livejournal.com 2011-06-21 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
You are very kind. [Mercury quickens her step, as much as she can while still accommodating a dress that doesn't allow for fully free movement. There are reasons for their battle uniforms, the sailor fuku. She could never fight in this.]

[It's the exact reaction of Mercury herself, in her future. Even now, she understands it a little, somewhere inside herself, in a part of herself she doesn't like to look at too closely. She nods vaguely, and debates with herself whether to say something.]

Right now, you are kind to me.

[It sounds inadequate to her ears.]

[identity profile] waterfell.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
[This dream will end.

And then there'll be the next one. But like Seth, even now, Mercury isn't someone who trusts to that easily.]

Why did you offer?

[identity profile] waterfell.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
In any case, thank you. Shall we go on?

[identity profile] waterfell.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
I will. [True to her word, she stays just a pace or two distant from Seth, keeping up quite easily.]

[identity profile] waterfell.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
[To her mind, where she's from is quite literally written on her face, the sigil on her forehead. Thus, she does not even consider hiding it.]

The Moon Castle.

[identity profile] waterfell.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 06:09 am (UTC)(link)
[People can dream indeed; and when Seth awakes, she'll know the mixture of truth and dream that this is.]

Colonized? No. If anything, it was the reverse. Civilization spread from the Moon.
