Uwaaahh!! I'm going to be late! ( and out like a shot, comes usagi from her house. she's dressed in her new high school uniform, already trying to beat the clock in order to be on time. there's a piece of toast in her mouth as she zooms by -- and it's not hard to imagine a trail of dust behind her at the pace she's trying to make )

Not on the very first day! I can't believe no one woke me up!! I didn't even have time for breakfast! How am I supposed to make it through the morning like this? ( and she cringes, rounding another corner at top speed, and skids to a stop, coming to a realization. she slaps her forehead... ) Maah! I forgot my lunch too! ( a groan ) This is shaping up to be one of the worst first days of school ever...

Your friends? ( she pauses. doesn't that mean... she would have seen you with them? ) ... But that's... Wait! What do you mean 'dreams?'

Lately I've been having those dreams... Where people I have never met before appear, besides me participating in my dream. I have also found myself in dreams that weren't mine, together with someone else, as if I entered their dreams. And among those dreams I once met a Mizuno Ami that had long black hair and had never heard of me, she was different from the Ami I know when I'm awake, but she's still Ami.

[He talks in a distant tone, almost as if he's not really answering her. He looks at her once more after a moment. Could that be it? Could this Usagi not be just a dream of a real person? In a world where he never existed for some reason. Where it was always just Usagi, not Tsukuyomi. He doesn't tell her that, though, if it's not his Usagi, then she counts as an outsider all the same, even if she's still Usagi.]

I had a sister, you know, we were twins but she was always healthier than I was, so I often had to stay home while she went out. She died shortly after we started primary school.

[He shuts up and looks away, hesitant, almost afraid and unsure. Even if it's not his Usagi... Being rejected by Usagi, any Usagi, is a terrible thought.]
