Report IV: Fountain Pen
Interrogations were rarely something pleasant to have to go through, ones with the Turks were usually terrifying and one that needed Tseng's personal attention rarely ended with laughter and a cup of coffee. Hopefully this one wouldn't end with maintenance having to patch a bullet hole in a wall again.
There wasn't much in the thin file he held as he watched the person through a mirrored window. So little, in fact, that it bothered him. No matter, there was certainly enough to start off with. He nodded, shooting a glance at the person beside him before entering the room.
Hopefully this wouldn't take more than a few hours, he really didn't want to be in the office until the sun came back up.
[[OOC: Open to whichever you want to tag in as! Good cop bad cop (...or bad cop worse cop as it were) or being questioned! ]]

Mind you, he'd probably take the ridiculous parts off the moment he could.
Xanadu was obviously some sort of false name, and the strange activity he'd been up to lately was just that. Strange. Moving materia in and out of Edge along with weapons and far too much money to make it all coincidental in Tseng's book.
"What the hell man, you ain't even told me why I'm in this dump and I've been here for hours." The guy complained on the sight of them. "That's gotta be against the law or somethin'. I want a damn lawyer."
there is no ridiculous part :|
"Let's begin," Ami says brusquely, all business, and ignoring the complaints, as she enters. She slips into the room just ahead of Tseng as he opens the door. She takes a seat; she plans to be comfortable for this.
He can want a lawyer.
The actions were certainly suspicious. They needed to know just where it was leading, in time to take countermeasures if necessary - no, as necessary.
"First of all, don't pretend to be stupid. I don't like it." He'd better come to his own conclusions about why he's here. She gives him only one lead.
"Want to tell us where the rest is?" She lets it imply they've already found damning proof, while being vague enough to let him fill in the details himself - with more than they actually know.
That hairstyle. :|
"Resta what? I've got lots of things sweetheart." He winked, "How about you get me some coffee eh? Maybe I'd be a little more willing to chat if you were polite."
Tseng snorted, shifting against the wall.
never. it is quite stunning.
Then she brought up her hand. Dark energy streamed from it to her victim's body, enough to cut into him, to locate the nerve centers and enhance the mind-numbing pain. She knows right where to target, after all. And she can wait all day.
It's going to be a lot more pleasant of a wait for her, than for him. He never should have made that sexist remark.
It's ridiculous, seriously. And the cape, capes are a hazard
pffft. XD
Trufacts: capes get caught on things.
"Sit. Down." Tseng ordered, dark eyes icy. "Now, unless you'd like me to leave you with my associate here for a few hours I'd suggest you begin talking."
and hit princes in the face, BUT STILL.
She wouldn't need hours.
"I want to hear all about it!" she piped up brightly.
Ridiculous, he should wear a suit and tie.
Tseng's smile turned feral, "Yes, and I'm The Director."
"Fine. Fine! What do you want?"
Tseng stepped back, gesturing for Ami to take over.
Don't criticize him. Only she gets to yell when it's about him :|
More hints. "Tell us about the materia, and the money. We have records already, so it'd be good to tell the whole truth, Ok?"
He still dresses like a twit.
Charging ridiculous prices to people in need, and that a lot of the weapons were ShinRa issue from the military had raised far too many alarm bells for anyone's liking.
the cape is manly, ok? :|
He's still a link in a chain, she doesn't forget. "People who want to sell them, huh?" Yeah, it'd be a good idea to start talking more about those.
No. It's not. 8| Neither is the headdress, despite it's Fancy.
"People don't just 'get rid of' mastered materia and military issue firearms." Tseng butted in.
"Sure they do! You find shit in Midgar and you sell it."
He needs it to look cool.
"Not in these quantities." Her comment is a reinforcement to Tseng's, a prompting.
No, he really doesn't. :|
"We already know about the goods coming out of that area." Tseng sighed, "Who does your running to Midgar?"
lies.
"What you care about doesn't matter right now." It was bland. She waited for the name.
Me? Lie? About someone looking ridiculous?!
"I highly suggest you reconsider that statement. Answer the questions." There was no emotion in Tseng's tone, heartless professionalism.
"A-a-allright. I-I don't know his name! He just shows up! Red hair, tattoos on his face." Xanadu panicked, eyes darting between the two of them.
dlkjsdls lol tell me that word is not what i think it is XD /guy has death wish?
But that wasn't the point they were here for. She pulled herself back from the sensation and to the matter at hand.
Red hair? Tattoos on his face? Just shows up, huh. And come to think of it, that name with an X, wasn't it a common theme where the person she's thinking of had been from? It couldn't be... Axel? On the other hand, it didn't seem the type of business he'd be involved in. Ami said nothing in front of their victim, but she let her eyes meet Tseng's for a second. She'd comment on it later, privately.
"Where do you meet him?" He still has to 'just show up' somewhere.
That would be lying. :|
"Th' back of my shop!" Xanadu replied, "Just shows up once a week!"
So dead. You know, after she laughs it off. XD
They had 'Xanadu'. They could set whatever trap they liked, and she wasn't particularly concerned with the fact she'd just made her intention obvious. He wouldn't be in a position to stop it. They'd be there.
lol
Tseng noted her look, and simply blinked in response. Honestly he thought the guy was trying to pin it on Reno, but if she knew something he didn't... well he didn't want to waste a bullet on Xanadu.
no subject
"Are you saying you've never once contacted him?" It hadn't been said, of course; but if they could use Xanadu to set up a meeting... that would require Xanadu to have a contact method.
