Report IV: Fountain Pen

Interrogations were rarely something pleasant to have to go through, ones with the Turks were usually terrifying and one that needed Tseng's personal attention rarely ended with laughter and a cup of coffee. Hopefully this one wouldn't end with maintenance having to patch a bullet hole in a wall again.

There wasn't much in the thin file he held as he watched the person through a mirrored window. So little, in fact, that it bothered him. No matter, there was certainly enough to start off with. He nodded, shooting a glance at the person beside him before entering the room.

Hopefully this wouldn't take more than a few hours, he really didn't want to be in the office until the sun came back up.

He can want a lawyer.

"Let's begin," Ami says brusquely, all business, and ignoring the complaints, as she enters. She slips into the room just ahead of Tseng as he opens the door. She takes a seat; she plans to be comfortable for this.

He can want a lawyer.

The actions were certainly suspicious. They needed to know just where it was leading, in time to take countermeasures if necessary - no, as necessary.

"First of all, don't pretend to be stupid. I don't like it." He'd better come to his own conclusions about why he's here. She gives him only one lead.

"Want to tell us where the rest is?" She lets it imply they've already found damning proof, while being vague enough to let him fill in the details himself - with more than they actually know.
waterfell: (ami 悪 you're my prey)

never. it is quite stunning.

Ami smiled pleasantly, brightly.

Then she brought up her hand. Dark energy streamed from it to her victim's body, enough to cut into him, to locate the nerve centers and enhance the mind-numbing pain. She knows right where to target, after all. And she can wait all day.

It's going to be a lot more pleasant of a wait for her, than for him. He never should have made that sexist remark.

pffft. XD

Still irritable, the halt earned Tseng a sour look; but no direct objection. After another glance at the man - whatever his name true name might be - she settled back in her seat for Tseng to take the lead.

and hit princes in the face, BUT STILL.

Ami's smile stayed pleasant, which was to say threatening. Though she didn't like Tseng's reminder, the outburst would now serve as a warning of what could happen.

She wouldn't need hours.

"I want to hear all about it!" she piped up brightly.
waterfell: (ami ♍ ohaiyo tsukino-san!)

Don't criticize him. Only she gets to yell when it's about him :|

"You realized it!" Ami acted like a teacher praising a pupil who'd finally gotten the answer right. Come on, take the next step: Why would the Turks be interested?

More hints. "Tell us about the materia, and the money. We have records already, so it'd be good to tell the whole truth, Ok?"
waterfell: (ami ♍ snark)

the cape is manly, ok? :|

She's unfazed. But behind the bravado, she's heard one thing: He's claiming to be a middle man. If that's true, he could be useful. They need the ones making the weapons disappear from the ShinRa facilities, not the one connecting them with their purchasers.

He's still a link in a chain, she doesn't forget. "People who want to sell them, huh?" Yeah, it'd be a good idea to start talking more about those.
waterfell: (ami ♍ glasses come off)

He needs it to look cool.

[personal profile] waterfell 2012-03-01 07:42 am (UTC)(link)
He was on the run. Good. People getting nervous were people likely to make mistakes. With the turn away from anything personal, she keeps her cool and her cold judgment. She becomes more serious and some of the facetious, put-on cheer drops.

"Not in these quantities." Her comment is a reinforcement to Tseng's, a prompting.
waterfell: (ami ♍ i don't believe in you anymore)

lies.

Fair enough, for the trader; but it wasn't what they needed as Turks. Ami didn't let it go. She was good at being stubborn.

"What you care about doesn't matter right now." It was bland. She waited for the name.

dlkjsdls lol tell me that word is not what i think it is XD /guy has death wish?

Ami's eyes flickered to 'Xanadu', to Tseng, and back again. She let it pass, with the point made - and perhaps a flicker of smugness that Tseng had been quick to handle the situation. It felt... good, to be sheltered, and to watch the brewing tension between two others for her sake. Her lips quirked upward as she watched with interest.

But that wasn't the point they were here for. She pulled herself back from the sensation and to the matter at hand.

Red hair? Tattoos on his face? Just shows up, huh. And come to think of it, that name with an X, wasn't it a common theme where the person she's thinking of had been from? It couldn't be... Axel? On the other hand, it didn't seem the type of business he'd be involved in. Ami said nothing in front of their victim, but she let her eyes meet Tseng's for a second. She'd comment on it later, privately.

"Where do you meet him?" He still has to 'just show up' somewhere.

So dead. You know, after she laughs it off. XD

In that case... Ami gave Tseng another quick look, and subtle nod, before asking the obvious question: "At the same time each week? The same day?"

They had 'Xanadu'. They could set whatever trap they liked, and she wasn't particularly concerned with the fact she'd just made her intention obvious. He wouldn't be in a position to stop it. They'd be there.

Pin it on Reno? Then again, it wasn't as if the guy knew just how loyal Reno was to the Turks. It was possible. Maybe. Of course, the words couldn't be spoken in a look.

"Are you saying you've never once contacted him?" It hadn't been said, of course; but if they could use Xanadu to set up a meeting... that would require Xanadu to have a contact method.
