001st Secret ☽ Born to be free
[The road is wide and long, losing itself in the horizon where land merges with the sky. The landscape keeps changing at a sickening speed, while the motor roars like a hungry lion. With the empty road ahead and behind, the car trunk filled with suitcases, a flaring sun above and the wind blowing strongly as the speed increases. It's a road trip, there's no doubt of it, though the goal of the trip may be something foggy in the mind, probably as that doesn't matter, the fun here is the trip itself after all.
Tsukuyomi smiles widely as he sits in the driver's seat. It's a dream, he knows it, only in a dream he would be able to drive and feel so well with himself, but he doesn't care. For once it's a dream where there's not even one trace of those nightmares he usually has, so he welcomes it happily. The car is a white colored two seats, enough space for just him and a companion, with the roof open to allow the wind and the sun to hit them directly, speeding through the road at a bit more than 120mph.
It's a cry for freedom. One of those moments of "feeling alive" for him. If only dreams could be real.]

Something is strange here.
[And in her suspicious mind, that means the beginnings of wondering whether this whole place is some form of trap. Various enemies had been able to create that sort of thing before now.
If it's a trap, they shouldn't be able to get out the way they came, either. But it's a long way off, and not a practical test.]
no subject
I thought this was a dream, but not even a dream can be this strange.
[Besides, if it was his dream, shouldn't they be at the beach already? He wanted to go there, right? Or rather he was willing to go there since the girl agreed with the idea. He looks up.]
Even the sun hasn't moved now that I think of it...
no subject
No; no, few people had that sort of power. An illusion, however... Ironic, that their thoughts are running into the same patterns.]
A dream? Why do you say that?
no subject
[He can feel his body being different than normal, the lack of pressure of bandages against his chest and parts that he knows he doesn't have but he can feel now.]
It just generally has this dream-like atmosphere, you know?
I wonder if it can be both a dream and a trap...
[Like a youma that attacks people on their sleep or something? The problem is he can't really fight or do anything to try to shatter the illusion. He could try to transform but... He doesn't want to and it may not work anyway.]
no subject
Let's investigate this before we let ourselves get carried away.
no subject
There's not much to investigate, though.

I don't suppose that knowing who you are would help at all, right?
no subject
Mizuno Ami. Pleased to meet you.
no subject
... But Ami-chan doesn't have long black hair...
[Wait, wait, this is a dream or an illusion. And he has a completely male body, maybe she really is Ami and they are trapped here together!]
... Wait, Ami-chan how do I look for you? If this place can create an illusion of an endless road maybe it's changed our appearances for others. It's me, Tsukuyomi!
no subject
Don't pretend we know each other.
[This is the most ridiculous conversation to be having in the circumstances, already in a car on her way to the beach with this person, but it's the confusion that makes her wary.
Wait. If he knows her without black hair... one of the worlds in which she has blue hair, regardless of form? Could he know her in another world?
But then, who is he?]
I've never heard of you.
no subject
It makes no sense if she's not Ami, so she has to be Ami. But then why that claim? Could she have had her memories wiped out? He frowns, if that's so he will have to try to make her remember.]
I'm not pretending! We know each other! We go to school together and for years we have eaten lunch together at the roof because things were calmer up there! You were always uncomfortable eating with everyone because everyone sat in groups and I didn't want to eat in a group so we went to the rooftop everyday. And finally half a year ago I dared to start to talk with you and we became friends, remember?
If I don't know you then how can I know that your mother's name is Saeko and she works at the Juuban Second General Hospital? Wait, that's not really that hard to know right? Well, then, how about this?! Your favorite food are sandwiches and anmitsu and you dislike yellow-tail tuna! Even if it's in a sandwich. Your blood-type is A and you have a couple of fishes as pets! And the only other thing you could spend the whole day doing besides studying is swimming! And you're allergic to love letters, but have not many problems accepting confessions face to face besides turning red in the face, but that's normal.
[Here he is, blurting all Ami has ever shared with him in their six months of friendship. Of course, though, many of those details don't really match but he doesn't know there are more than one Mizuno Ami.]
fdhjfdlkfdl <333
It's how many details do match. No - think! Everyone at school knew she used to eat on the roof. Her mom's name and workplace are easy to find. But her preferences, her pets, her blood type... Some of that wasn't as simple as information to look up and remember after a few minutes.]
How do you know these things?
[Her voice is gruff, bluffing through the confusion and nervousness by that strength. She doesn't entirely believe that they were learned in the natural course of events. Who had ever gotten to know her like that?
Ami's full attention is on the boy beside her now. Her lips clamp closed in a stern, almost defensive gesture unconsciously. She subtly shifts one hand as if to be ready to transform.
At the same time, it's as if this person was looking at her for all those six months he claims he knew her.]
no subject
You have to remember, Ami-chan, I know you can! Don't make that face, I'm sure you must have felt something familiar when looking at me! Even if your hair isn't short and blue I can tell it's you when I think about it! Just concentrate, do you really not feel even one hit of familiarity with me?
[She has to remember, please, please, remember him. Even if he had friends, Ami and Mamoru were the first people he really felt happy to have as friends, the first people he felt he could connect with better. And Ami was even more special, he wanted to know her more and more until there was nothing left that he didn't know about her. Of course the other girls were his friends as well, and he loved them but if he ever had to choose? Ami was all he needed.]
no subject
It's wanting to know herself.]
There's something familiar.
no subject
[He smiles, encouraged and hopeful. Even if she doesn't remember him yet, there's something familiar that she can sense. So whatever they have done to her it's not strong enough to block him away completely.]
I know you can do it, try to remember! I'm saying the truth, we know each other, we're friends! If I was lying, why would I be lying to begin with? If this is all a trap to get you, wouldn't I have dismissed your suggestion of how this trip wasn't getting us anywhere? Wouldn't I have appeared to you as someone you would know so you would be at ease? Just like if you weren't really Ami-chan, why would you have noticed that we weren't getting to the beach? Why would you make me thing and question this dream or illusion or whatever it was? Why would you look differently?
Why would we be having this conversation if one of us was fake and aimed to hurt the other?
no subject
... Now why should she have suddenly thought of Usagi, as if this emotional boy is really the same as that girl, as if she can almost see both of them?
Ami shakes off the thought. It's impossible. She's letting the situation get to her. She insists on the only thing she knows is true.]
I never met you before today.
no subject
[No back to this, please. Wait, he remembers something, he doesn't think he looks that different but maybe for her he does! Just as she looks different for him.]
Ah, I know! You haven't met me before today with this appearance, whatever I may look to you. Just like I have never before met an Ami-chan with black and long hair! But you're still Ami and I recognize the name, why can't you recognize mine?
no subject
It's partly unwillingness.]
It's because I've never seen you. If you know a 'different me', the one who met you is her.
no subject
[Wait, what...]
A 'different you'... But Ami is Ami, right? There aren't two Amis, I would have noticed. And Ami-chan never said she had a twin sister. Why would you have black hair and not blue hair though?
no subject
[She has to hold on to that. Because if there's someone who was close to her, who knew her, like he claims, and if she's forgotten that completely...
What else has she forgotten?]
no subject
But I know your name... I still remember your name. Why have you forgot mine?
no subject
no subject
no subject
But that was before, and this guy isn't them anyway. Right?]
I don't know how, but if I find out it's something I don't want, you'll be hurt.
