Interlude IV - The Fourth Dream

[She may have been small in her dreams again, but she recognized this place. It was the Forgotten City. The glowing trees, the lake,and even the men within. They looked just like Sephiroth, how could she not know that they resembled him? This time, she had her memories, she just also had the impulsiveness of a child. And sometimes the attention span of one.

But right now, she was watching the children walk into the blackened water, being told it was their cure for Geostigma. Genesis didn't have Geostigma, so she didn't know why she was here. She wasn't even armed!

She looked around, wondering how she could get out of here.]

You are real tiny. Uh... [She thinks. This is a tough situation.]

Listen, no matter what, we can't let them get you. These guys are bad news. How about I distract 'em, and you get the other kids away? [Suicide missions are the most fun. Sigh.]

Can you fly? Or do some magic or something? [She may be a kid, but she's a super kid.] Anything?

Well, I don't have my materia, but I still got my wings. But I can't carry all of the kids.

[Still, she could probably herd them away from the air anyway. She wriggled out of her coat, revealing just a cotton tank top and let out her wings.]

I know you can't carry all those kids. There's way too many. I was trying to find out what kind of advantages we might have.

[She examines the wings. They look pretty creepy to her, but she keeps the thought to herself (for once), as there are more important matters at hand.]
