Interlude IV - The Fourth Dream
[She may have been small in her dreams again, but she recognized this place. It was the Forgotten City. The glowing trees, the lake, and even the men within. They looked just like Sephiroth, how could she not know that they resembled him? This time, she had her memories, she just also had the impulsiveness of a child. And sometimes the attention span of one.
But right now, she was watching the children walk into the blackened water, being told it was their cure for Geostigma. Genesis didn't have Geostigma, so she didn't know why she was here. She wasn't even armed!
She looked around, wondering how she could get out of here.]
[[OOC: This is Genesis as a child, yes I know her PB is rather obvious XD But it's the only one I thought that would match. Anyway, this is also for
silversouba, threadjacking is encouraged! I'll be replying with
lil_rhapsody.]

Great. She has to get out of here. But there's kids... She can't just leave kids with these freaks. Ugh. Isn't Cloud supposed to handle this crap?
She tries her best to look inconspicuous, already knowing that it's a lost cause, and when the other redhead comes close, she calls to her in a hissing whisper.]
Hey. Kid. Come here.
no subject
Reno? What are you doing here?
no subject
But I don't know what I'm doing here. We sent Cloud up here. Look, we have to get out of here, ASAP.
no subject
[Oh, wait, no one had seen her as a kid before.]
It's me, Genesis. And what about the other kids?
no subject
Genesis? Like, the actual Genesis or some kind of Deepground clone thing? [In any case, that's very, very bad.] Oh damn, you're like full of Jenova cells or something.
Yeah yeah, I know, we gotta do something. I'm trying to think...
no subject
The real one, idiot!
[She huffed before looking back at the kids still in the water. If Cloud was suppose to be here...]
Should we just wait for Cloud then?
no subject
Yeah, well, we could do that, but Cloud kind of screwed this part up. [Reno's faith in Cloud is somewhat limited.] Never a good idea to wait for somebody else to show up. They might not.

Listen, no matter what, we can't let them get you. These guys are bad news. How about I distract 'em, and you get the other kids away? [Suicide missions are the most fun. Sigh.]
Can you fly? Or do some magic or something? [She may be a kid, but she's a super kid.] Anything?
no subject
[Still, she could probably herd them away from the air anyway. She wriggled out of her coat, revealing just a cotton tank top and let out her wings.]
no subject
[She examines the wings. They look pretty creepy to her, but she keeps the thought to herself (for once), as there are more important matters at hand.]
You got any other ideas? You're some kinda supersoldier, so let me know if you do.
no subject
He's pleased to see Genesis here. He recognizes her at once in spite of her youth, so that's one familiar thing here, thankfully. He makes his way to her side at once.]
Genesis. What is this place?
no subject
What are you doing here? You can't be here! If they see you, they'll catch you!
no subject
I don't know why I'm here. [A pause.] I'm not worried. Who are they?

Kadaj narrowed his feline eyes on her, somehow she was familiar but he couldn’t quite figure it out. Was she one of Cloud’s little orphans? Had he seen her the last time he was in Edge? Or maybe this was just another one of those Sephiroth memories that often interrupted own.
As Yazoo and Loz readied their new brothers and sisters onto the truck, Kadaj approached the small red head, Souba withdrawn. She didn’t have Geostigma, so she was useless to Mother, and she didn’t prove much of a threat either.
She was just an annoyance. Or target practice, depending on how their conversation ended.
“You know,” he smiled to her, though there wasn’t any sweetness behind it, “children shouldn’t eavesdrop.”

“Now then,” a cruel smirk wormed its way onto cold lips, “it would be a good time for you to hide far far away from here.”
