003 | believe me |
[ Wherever you are in your dreams tonight, you'll notice a particularly odd looking blue box with a man standing outside of it. His hands are in his pockets as he leans against it, grinning, looking at the landscape of the dream, which is fashioned to your liking. A city, hills, perhaps even just an open field or even a ship at sea. Tonight, the dream is shaped to your liking! ]

[She knows all too well that this means 'infinitely'. The wars will always continue - even the princess who battled with Galaxia knew that much, was forced to choose between letting that state of affairs continue or ending the future of the galaxy itself. Which was truly worse?]

I'm already prepared for that.

[Nothing was ever important enough, if it was only Ami there. But this place it important to her, and thus to her, the place has importance.]

It makes her, finally, shut him out with a very simple truth.]
I don't need your approval. If you continue this way, you'll no longer be welcome here.

Whatever you want to think, whatever answers you think you have, ever since that time this world has been working to rebuild what that princess destroyed and put right what she did.
Don't insult that, or me, by pretending we're to blame for what she did, or deciding what's enough for us to have done when we shouldn't have had to do any of it.
Do you see her anywhere here to help, any form of her, from any world? Do you see her putting right what she did? Do you see her anywhere at all? If she has such a heart, where are her alternates? If she isn't to blame for this, where is she to defend herself instead of hiding behind your excuses for her? If she ever gave a thought to this world, or anything or anyone she claims to love, where is she at all?
[She hadn't meant to say that much.]

The Moon Kingdom is gone. Gallifrey is gone. Are you truly going to let that destroy who and what you are? Because you are.
[ He walks up to her, looming over her slightly. ] Now, is that the sort of princess that Mercury deserves? I think that a place as majestic and gorgeous as this deserves better. It deserves a princess that is willing to stand up for the ideals of it's planet, it's people, it's beliefs. Not a princess who is turning her back on her heritage because she's hurt and letting the entire universe suffer for it.
You have a choice, Mercury. Rise up, be the princess your Moon Princess could not. Or, fall in the ruin and destroy what left of a good name your planet has.
Do the right thing.

What he says is true. The rage with which she fights her enemies now is the thwarted rage of fighting the senshi, never satisfied. Her coldness is no longer a girl reluctant to trust but a jaded woman with the same things running through her mind each time. (After all, her suppositions had been correct.)
Mercury lays her hand on the console in front of her, as though focusing on that instead of the words still hanging in the air between them.
Then she speaks honestly.]
I may want to see Earth renewed and the Mercury Kingdom rise again some day, but just what 'ideals' do you think someone like me holds to? I'm not that soft.
'The right thing' is what happened to end her. The right thing is what ended our enemies since then. The right thing is our power strong enough to make and hold the world we want to see.
'Move on'? And when she stands before me a thousand times even after dying a thousand times, a thousand new alternates in a thousand different worlds, how do you think it will end?

And, I'd rather end her.

Only a fool is blind to their situation.
When you have something to say that isn't defending that girl, I'll consider listening to you. Until then, stay away. I won't go easy if you plan to be my enemy.
