[008 ☿] Cliff-Diving
[There's a gorgeous view from up here: a rocky cliff face overlooking the sea. The breeze plays with her hair as Ami waits at the very highest point, right on the edge. She looks down, an angle likely to give vertigo but she only grins broader.
She's going to jump.
She lets go, and her body suddenly looks so small against the backdrop of open sky as she plummets towards the water and sinks beneath the waves. The movement is a thrilling rush and the moment she's immersed, she smiles. She lets herself stay there, savoring the feeling, and she rises to the surface only reluctantly and belatedly.]
(ooc: not necessarily theme, but I'm open to theme antics as well if anyone wanted to catch her here for them; let me know)

Were you worried?
[She says it teasingly, even as she walks towards the shore, her step confident and firm even on the rocky, uneven sand and silt and seaweed.]

[The luminescent blush tells otherwise.]

She's out of the water now, like a mermaid coming from the sea.]
It's nothing at all.
Shall we go up and dive together this time? [She's a brat.]
no subject
[He can't die, of course--his levels are far too high for him to be killed by simply jumping into the water from a cliff. He's just teasing her, in that tsun-tsun, "I don't know the meaning of the word love!" way.]

So he climbs as well.]

They're near the peak when she hesitates with a wary frown. There are people up ahead, and Ami hadn't expected anyone to be here. She calls out to them, but either they don't hear her, or their silence is simply obstinate; she's not sure which from this distance still.]
no subject
[How did these people get up here? He has no idea, but he's already preparing himself for battle. Little does he know about what, exactly, do some of these "people" possess.]
[1/2]
[And Ami, with the brashness typical of when she wants to make a situation suit herself, keeps going until it's impossible to doubt she'll be heard, and tells the people so.]
This is our place to come. Leave.
[2/2] just as planned
Then the one closest to her reaches to wrap both hands around her throat. Even as Ami brings up her hands to fend the woman off, it's too late and she has to pull against the tight grip just to get enough space to breathe.
A few of the rest start towards her while the others seem to be coming straight for Laharl.]
Should there be a sexy woman in here somewhere?
Let go of her!
[And just to add emphasis to his words, he brandishes his sword, his eyes blazing with fury.]
[1/2] absolutely. >D JUST FOR YOU, LAHARL
But when Laharl gets close enough, her assailant is forced to pay attention to him, and Ami is left to fall to her knees to get her breath. She only takes a few great, gulping breaths before she climbs determinedly to her feet and finally speaks.]
[2/2]
[In a swirl of black rose petals and dark water, Mercury takes Ami's place.]

Why does he have to deal with sexy women at a time like this? Why?
He'll just freeze up, mouth open in a silent scream. One day he's going to learn his lesson, and it might be today.]
no subject
[But there's no time for more than that as a swift bolt of energy heads straight for the source of Laharl's confusion.
no subject
>_>
What are they? She touches an earring, and her visor slips into place to analyze their foes.]
no subject
totally screwed that up wtf self
Her visor flies rapidly through several displays before showing her what she wants. Mercury's head snaps up.]
They're droids!
[One good solution for that:]
Dark Mirage (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qi6ZhGCF15U)!
[The water pops in a series of small explosions as it hurls towards its target, where it breaks over several droids to freeze them and scramble their directives.]
That's fine!
[He doesn't give her much time to answer. He moves in on the confused droids, slicing through them in a Blade Rush before leaping into the air, growing glowy violet wings and diving down, leaving explosions in his wake.]

[Laharl's
overkillattack clears out a nice radius.]no subject
How many of them are there?
no subject
Five more.
[She slips right by Laharl, back to back. Her lips curve upward. This is the best type of time together.]
Shall we take them out?
no subject
[His lips turn up in an evil grin. This is the kind of thing he likes to do.]
