[ The dream tonight is a rather empty one, compared to the brilliant things that people could find themselves in. A simple beach surrounded by mountains, clear blue skies and a deep blue lake, and a small picnic area set to the side. The moon can be seen, despite it being day, rippling in the water. By the waterfront is an old station wagon, and of course the Doctor. He stands with his hands in his pockets, staring out over the restless waters, with his back to the dreamer.

He seems older than normal. He doesn't look a day older, but his shoulders are sagged and his head held as if he were carrying burdens upon burdens of the universe - similar to Atlas. With a deep sigh, he tilts his head back and looks up at the sky. ]

(ooc: This is Future!Eleven for the time event! As explained in the ooc post, it means this is the Eleven we see from the beginning of Impossible Astronaut as opposed to the Eleven from The Doctor's Wife. Your character doesn't need to be affected by the event to tag him, but Eleven will be acting as if he has known your character for nearly two hundred years~ )

Enough time... to do what?

The things that I have left to do. The people I need to see.

[ She's quiet for moments. Everything had its end and Serenity knows it. But, she's older now. No matter how much kicking and screaming she would like to do.. it won't change that she knows sentient beings are capable of knowing when it was their time. ]

[ The Doctor reaches up and trails his finger down the side of her face. ]

[ The touch startles her out of her thoughts and slowly her gaze moves up to stare at the Doctor. ]

You are one of those people.

[ It warms her heart that he wants to see her, but it breaks it because it's his last.. and she deals with it the only way she knows how to: moving to lift his hand up to her chest, she holds it tightly and leans to settle her head on his shoulder. ]

Then, for now, what shall we do?

[ The Doctor holds her close, putting his chin atop her head. Oh, Serenity had become such a good friend... even though they met when she was known as Usagi. ]

Whatever the Neo-Queen wants.

One more adventure in your wonderful TARDIS. [ She takes a breath, willing herself to not faulter. ] ... For old times sake.

[ A smile creeps on his face. ]

Where to? Neverland?

Some place amazing.

[ She nestles her head closer and squeezes a little tighter. ]

I can do amazing.

[ He kisses the top of her head. ]

I expect no less.

[ She lays there like that for another beat until finally she steps back, body pulled away except now both her hands are wrapped around his. ]

Then shall we go?

[ The Doctor offers his arm to her, gesturing to the TARDIS. ]

[ She takes the arm without any hesitation, her own arm wrapping around his as she sees that beautiful blue box waiting and heads for it. ]

[ With a snap of his fingers the doors open and he leads her into the box that is bigger on the inside. ]

Have I ever asked how you managed to do that?

[ Gracefully, she slides right on into the TARDIS, gingerly petting the inside of the ship as a greeting. ]

Telepathic link between me and the TARDIS. You're not supposed to do it, but the old girl likes showing off.

[ He gives the ship a gentle pat before twirling around and going straight to the console. ]

She's not the only one who likes showing off, Doctor.

[ She teases lightly as she wanders about the bridge. She'll take her normal spot in a moment, but for now she'll be content with burning this ship into her memory. ]

You would be surprised by how much she does, in fact, like to show off.

Oh, I don't doubt it.

[ A small little smirk lifts up the corner of her lips before she steps onto the platform and takes her familiar spot next to the controls. ] She is an incredible machine.

She likes you.

[ At that, Serenity's smirk melts into a smile. ] I like the TARDIS as well. She always helps choose the best places.

She's telepathic by nature, Serenity. She knows what you are thinking and feeling--she even knew you before I knew you!

[ Let's make this an adventure that no one will ever forget, TARDIS. ]

It was amusing, watching you try to figure out who I was.

[ Serenity lightly brushes her fingertips over some of the buttons, knobs and other swirly things. ] Although, the real question is have you figured out where we're headed?
