[ The dream tonight is a rather empty one, compared to the brilliant things that people could find themselves in. A simple beach surrounded by mountains, clear blue skies and a deep blue lake, and a small picnic area set to the side. The moon can be seen, despite it being day, rippling in the water. By the waterfront is an old station wagon, and of course the Doctor. He stands with his hands in his pockets, staring out over the restless waters, with his back to the dreamer.

He seems older than normal. He doesn't look a day older, but his shoulders are sagged and his head held as if he were carrying burdens upon burdens of the universe - similar to Atlas. With a deep sigh, he tilts his head back and looks up at the sky. ]

(ooc: This is Future!Eleven for the time event! As explained in the ooc post, it means this is the Eleven we see from the beginning of Impossible Astronaut as opposed to the Eleven from The Doctor's Wife. Your character doesn't need to be affected by the event to tag him, but Eleven will be acting as if he has known your character for nearly two hundred years~ )

[O_o] Well, uhh, I don't know what a Gallifreyan year equates to in Earth years, but... that sounds pretty old.

[She smiles and looks him over carefully.] It's funny, because you look my age or a bit older, but your eyes... I can see now how you're older than you first seem.

Eyes are the window to the soul. Or so they say.

Yeah. Guess there's some truth to that after all.

[She sighs, then adds,] But won't I see you here in your dreams for a bit longer before you go? I'm just getting to know you.

You will. We have loads of things we do before this happens.

Good, that's... really good to hear.

[She looks off into the distance.]

So where is this place?

Utah? [He nose crinkles a little.] Not much out here but desert.

That is the point.

Oh, right. Isolation.

[She sighs. This is depressing her. It must be doing the same to him.]

Do you think you can change this to a nicer place? A place that doesn't feel as sad?

My friends will be here, so it won't be so bad. Well, it will be, but it will be less sad.

No less sad for them though.

...Yes. That's true.

Are you going to explain it to them beforehand?

I can't.

But it will be such a shock for them, won't it?

It will... but that starts everything.

Everything? How does it start anything if you're gone?

It's time travel, Christine. They see me die because of events they haven't lived through yet, but I have.

Oh, so there's no way out of this for you, or for them. They have to watch you...

[She shakes her head.] Things can change. They did in my universe. This ship went through a black hole and was sent back in time. They rewrote history. They created an alternate time line.
