001 | brand new day |

[ It's an unfamiliar site that you find yourself in tonight. An impossible room with different colors and glass floors, staircases that seem to go nowhere. At the center of the room is a column made of glass with panels filled with nonsense items: a typewriter, levers, hot and cold handles, even a phone! There's even a monitor hanging from the ceiling next to the man dressed in a tweet jacket and a bowtie. ]

No, this is definitely not the Eye of Orion... it doesn't make any sense! You're giving me nonsense, old girl, absolute babble! I know that the transfer might of been a bit confusing and backwards for you, but, no data whatsoever? What sort of nasty thing have you got in your time rotor this time?

[ Suddenly the man stops and turns and looks at you. He glances to the sides, shifting slightly, his hands flexing into small fists as he steps towards the edge of the glass ramp. ]

How did you get in here? No one can just walk into the TARDIS.

((ooc: intro post! ♥ this is a dream taking place within the console room of the TARDIS. if you have any questions regarding it, lemmie know! and, he doesn't know he's dreaming just yet. ))

[She can believe the spaceship part--even if there aren't any on her planet, one of the most influential men in her life told her to "do the impossible." However...

She shrugs.]

I have to admit, I am a bit skeptical about the time machine part.

[Giving him a challenging smirk,]

Are you feeling up to proving it?

[Yoko immediately opens her mouth to say something, but stops herself. There would be no point in meddling with the past in a dream. Her mouth closes, and gives her request serious consideration.

Eventually she makes up her mind, and when a determined expression, says:]

I want to see what my world looked like before humans were forced to live underground.

[She doesn't really know how to answer that.]

It's...mostly desert, from what I've seen, an occasional oasis here and there...lots of volcanic activity. I've seen a forest once.

[She knows that she sounds incredibly stupid right now, especially to someone who seemed extremely well-traveled. She's lucky enough to be able to read--forget planetary nomenclature! The word she's looking for is "Earth", some indesignated millenia into the future from present day.]

[Yoko admits defeat.]

I don't know.

[Then, an idea!]

At the end of every day you can watch the sun set and the moon rise (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v256/Yumiweb/Picture160.png) at the same time!!

D...does that help at all?

[identity profile] snipestress.livejournal.com 2011-05-24 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
[She gives him a relieved sigh.]

And here I was thinking that the world I live on was unique!

[Taking a moment to take in the sights of the interior of the TARDIS. For the moment, she seems mostly interested in the unusual lighting fixtures.]

What's "terraforming"?

It's habitable enough...! If it weren't for the beastmen...

[grumble.]
