ღ Second Keychain ღ

[This time, Sora's dream takes place on an island. But something seems off about it. It practically oozes life, and yet, no one besides the boy is here. And he sits there, knees hugged to his chest at the base of a tree that grows out over the water. As opposed to his first dream, where he seemed to border on hostile, Sora now seems almost... Lonely and sad.

And perhaps adding to that is that the islands seem to almost flicker every now and then, between the beautiful place full of life and a desolate and destroyed landscape floating in an endless voice of darkness.]

[[OOC: Sora's beginning to feel a ton of regret for his actions on the real Islands. If you manage to get him to open up, expect him to rant and question! Have fun with the flickering islands!]]

[She's not so good at sympathy anymore, but thinking of someone young and always alone is to think of herself for so long. After another undecided long look, she seats herself beside him.]

Is that why you came out here?

[identity profile] waterfell.livejournal.com 2011-03-28 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
There's an amusement park near where I live. I used to enjoy going there when I was a child. I like to go there sometimes now, too.

[She's only admitting this because it gives them that similarity to work from.]

So, I sort of understand being drawn here.

[identity profile] waterfell.livejournal.com 2011-03-28 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, it doesn't hurt. [But for him, it seems it does, and she relents from the pride.]

It's somewhere important to you, right? That's all it needs to be.

[It hadn't mattered whether she was the little girl who went to the amusement park when her family was still whole, or the girl who ran there for a last moment of freedom before the darkness claimed her, or the girl who used it as a target to drive her enemies into the dust. It was an important place.]

Why not?

[She glances away from them both, then back to Sora.]

It doesn't seem as though it's bothering anyone.

[He'd said himself that only he and his father were here.]

[Destroyed. She stiffens at once, because her world has put so much overemphasis on preventing destruction (from Metalia, from the princess, it hadn't mattered in the end).

And yet she's done things that would shock even her, if she were simply told them at face value. She'd had her reasons - some good, some bad, some petty. Sora must have his, too, and besides: It's not her world, not her enemy, not her concern.]

Want to explain why?

[identity profile] waterfell.livejournal.com 2011-03-31 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
And now?

[She knows how crazed with pain loneliness can make someone. But she can't forgive what happened here. She is not the forgiving sort, not now, not anymore.

She's not even sure what she wants to hear. Perhaps she needs to him to
say he regrets it. But even then- it's already happened. Regret won't change it or set it right. And that's where Ami always traps herself.]

[identity profile] waterfell.livejournal.com 2011-03-31 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[Ami's mind puts it together: The islands are changing in response to Sora's heart. This is not a new idea to her world.]

Look out there. [She nods brusquely towards the now-beautiful scene, then glances back to Sora.]

You created that, too. So if you want it back, make it with your own hands.

I'm the last person to say this sort of thing [Just like her former self had been the last person to say things like 'it'll work out', and yet she'd found a way to say it once]

But shouldn't you be accepting that so you can put this right?

[identity profile] waterfell.livejournal.com 2011-04-05 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
I don't believe it's productive to rely on someone in that way.

[identity profile] waterfell.livejournal.com 2011-04-05 07:01 am (UTC)(link)
[The last time she had faith through proxy, it turned out to be an enormous mistake.]

It doesn't matter what you think right now. It matters what you'll decide to do.

[identity profile] waterfell.livejournal.com 2011-04-05 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
That's useless. Decide on your goal.

[identity profile] waterfell.livejournal.com 2011-04-05 07:17 am (UTC)(link)
Believe the truth in front of you that's the most reliable.

[How should she suddenly believe the Dark Kingdom was wrong, when all proof in front of her eyes said they were right?]

I'll hear you out if you want to tell me.
