01 :: you can never go home

[ You're in front a large gate with the initials 'N.N.' in cursive on it. It's far too large to climb over and chained securely shut... for a second or so. Then suddenly that chain falls off and the gates open ominously. In front of you is a beautiful, endless estate. You will find a mansion, pool house, and even a hedge maze should you chose to explore. (Just ignore the gate snapping shut behind you and the chain resuming its spot.) Out of the corner of your eye, you will see either a young woman trying to find a way out or a young girl playing innocently. When you turn to look at them though they are always gone. Maybe you should try calling out to one of them? Surely they can help you either seach this place or find a way  to escape. That gate thing was a little creepy but, there is a pool house. ]

No... Just you. [Which makes you the suspicious one, he doesn't say.] What are you doing here, if you don''t live here?

I'm not sure either. [He makes a point of knowing things, especially how he got somewhere things. He lifts his gun again, scanning the area for movement. No René, no rhyme, no reason. He frowns, turning back to the girl.]

Do you know he way out?

Consider it a bay window. [He smiles back just as briefly.]

[She's a special. He doesn't know why, but he trusts her. Noah closes his eyes, picturing the Company in New York. When he opens his eyes they're in a corridor, and he frowns.]

You did this?

[identity profile] morallycomfy.livejournal.com 2011-04-04 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
Right. [He'd let that slide for now, and try to figure it out later.]

I'm Bennet, and this is the Company. Not that this is the most orthodox method of entry, but we still need to get you signed in.

Can I at least show you around before you leave without signing in?

Great. [He starts down the hallway, this wing looks almost like a hospital.] This is where we keep the lab.

We test what each special can do, how they can help the normal population. And how to .. remove their abilities, should they become dangerous.

I think ours sounds nicer.

Most of them. The ones who have hurt, people, well. They're in another unit.

Who knows? It seemed relevant to your interests.
