01 :: you can never go home

[ You're in front a large gate with the initials 'N.N.' in cursive on it. It's far too large to climb over and chained securely shut... for a second or so. Then suddenly that chain falls off and the gates open ominously. In front of you is a beautiful, endless estate. You will find a mansion, pool house, and even a hedge maze should you chose to explore. (Just ignore the gate snapping shut behind you and the chain resuming its spot.) Out of the corner of your eye, you will see either a young woman trying to find a way out or a young girl playing innocently. When you turn to look at them though they are always gone. Maybe you should try calling out to one of them? Surely they can help you either seach this place or find a way  to escape. That gate thing was a little creepy but, there is a pool house. ]

Quite a few, to be honest. I hope that doesn't make you uncomfortable.

[He lets a long pause elapse, studying her back.]

Elektra, how would you like a job?

Simple. [points to himself.] One of us. [points to her- One of them.

Call it a hunch. Am I wrong?

[He raises an eyebrow before a slow smile spreads over his lips.] Excellent.

So, how about that sign-in? [He's already leading her to processing, a light hand on her back.]

.. Sorry. [He really hadn't meant anything by it, and he drops his hand immediately.] You can just step right into my office. [waves her in.]

[From the look on his face, you'd think paperwork excites him. He is supposed to be selling paper after all. But no, he just hasn't had a partner since the New Company.] Have a seat. [He says, clearing his throat as he starts filling out the top of something.] Do you have a last name, date of birth? ...I can skip that section. [whistles while he goes, handing her the paper a few times to sign.]

And you're signed in. That was relatively painless, right?
