Mingle Post: Movie Night

When: any time agreed upon by the players
Where: anywhere there might be movies showing: theatres, dvd rooms, homes, drive-ins. also, movie settings.

It's an old, old, story: falling asleep and dreaming of that movie that was playing until just a few moments ago. Maybe taking the part of the hero, maybe the dastardly villain, or maybe even just some side character there to fill a purpose in the plot and no more. It might be a dashing adventure, a passionate drama, a sickly sweet romance - anything at all. But it's playing out right now.

Or maybe the movie is playing up on the screen. There's a comfortable couch at a DVD Room, or a seat at the theatre (amid a crowd, or alone with that special someone at the back of the room), or even just a comfortable chair in a warm, cozy house.
Whatever it may be, movies are the order of the night.

Wooooow! ( there was nothing short of actual stars in usagi's eyes as she looked on at the scene unraveling before her; even though it was a set, and she knew it, the action still contained all the magic it should have for her. and with her friend in the heart of it! it didn't get much better than this... )

Mianko-chan, that was amazing! ( she was beaming; she couldn't have been happier ) And the ending -- waaaahh! It was so sad, I never saw it coming!!

[rather than respond right away, Mina bounces nervously on the balls of her feet and clutches the prop gun to her chest, smiling uncertainly]

Thanks! [to cover her discomfort, Mina switches to 'melodramatic' mode, with exaggerated movements and excessive emotion:] Oh, but wasn't it tragic? [she holds a hand to one chest in a display of trying to keep in emotion] I'm so glad you felt it, too.

You know. [she puts a finger to her lips and winks conspiratorially] Maybe I should get you in on one of these sometime.

R-really?! No way! ( that was just too cool, mina ) I mean, you just look so natural up there, in your element! There's no way I could be as good as you... ( she confessed the obvious, but was content enough to be there for her friend, it seemed )

But hey... ( she leaned in conspiringly... ) Maybe you could introduce me to some of those really cute guys you were working with... ne, ne? ( elbow, elbow. just try to tell her that you weren't eyeing them too... )

[it was that old, chastising tone. Mina waves an admonishing finger.]

And what about Mamoru-san, huh?

[the tiny grin diminishes any reproaching feel she was trying to give off, though]

( her cheeks puffed out defensively -- ) Of course I love Mamo-chan... ( she whined ) It's just not every day I get to meet cool movie starts like you, Minako-chan! ( the energy seemed to return to her voice as she began to daydream about such a glamourous way of like... ) I bet you've met so many great ones, haven't you?
