Eversong
[The landscape of this dream starts out with an idyllic setting locked into an endless late spring, early summer. Massive trees crowned in shades of golds, reds and greens dominate the landscape. Vermilion furred lynx hunted the grounds beneath the trees and occasionally what looked to be significantly smaller trees possessing faces and small if long arms could be seen. Tiny Treants tending to the massive woods around them.
Moving through this idyllic setting with apparent purpose is what first appears to be your typical man, though a closer observation of the head area will quickly disabuse anyone of the idea that the man is human, long tapering ears move in a slight bobbing motion with each quick step he takes down the cobbled path through the woods. His pale hair is currently down out of its usual top-knot, flowing down his back and largely covering the cloak he wears over his tunic and armor, their colors similar to the leaves above him.
Why he's in such hurry is not readily apparent, especially when to the casual glance, the landscape around him seems peaceful and almost serene. However, in the distance ahead the glow of the land seems to darken, radiating an ill-at-ease feeling, sick, twisted..dying. As if some cancer threatens to move in on the golden and scarlet lands beyond it and destroy them. And if he does not want to see that poison seep any further into his kingdom, then he has to think of a way to halt it without falling into the trap which has already robbed them of one ruler of their people already.
It's unfortunately all too easy to start believing that the ends justify the means though in these dark and trying times.]

I am a stranger to your forest. Will you show me the way?
no subject
Why are you here in these woods? Where are you wanting to go?
no subject
I found myself here by chance. [This is true enough.] I've become lost, so I have no destination.

I live at the River Lethe. I'm the guardian of that place, Sailor Lethe.
no subject
What kingdom is this river of yours located in? I've never heard of any river with such a name. How is it that you came to be here?
no subject
It no longer matters.
[It no longer exists; and the kingdom that will last is the one being built by Galaxia.]

[Yes, he just threatened you without actually stating the threat of either locking you up or outright attempting to kill you for trespassing.]
If you're a mage and have accidentally teleported yourself here, we can send you back home and forget and forgive, but we need to know just where your home is. Unless you desire us to simply return you to Dalaran and allow you to make your own way home.

[Hadn't she already introduced herself?]

I'm the guardian of the river of Oblivion, where mortals come to die.
no subject
And how is it that you are here now instead of there? A guardian isn't much of a guardian if they don't remain with what they are to guard.
no subject
Of course. Not knowing her river at all, his own odd appearance by her world's standards, there is only one way she's experienced these things.]
This is a dream. Even I sometimes sleep.
no subject
I see. Then how is it you are within this dream with me? Do you have power to invade one's dreams? [A disturbing thought that. One could easily see how such an ability could be misused and abused.]

Follow me to the path.
[Had he been alone, he would have simply killed it and been done with it. But the young lady had seemed genuinely interested in them and actually trying to help. Lashing out at it, might have actually upset her more than the treant's attack on her did. Thus he chose to lead them to flee from it. Hopefully she would heed his words and follow him before the treant's companions caught wind of them and decided to join in on the assault.]
no subject
What's going on? Did I scare them?
no subject
It was no fault of yours. The majority of treants unfortunately have not yet recovered from the trauma of certain events which have rocked this world. They've gone mad one might say... and thus lash out at anyone which gets in their way. Be they foe or friend. Might I ask what brings you to these woods?

A call for help.
[ She's not sure who it came from yet... but she doesn't end up in places like this by accident, and she looks up to meet Lor'themar's eyes. ]
I'm a healer. Not too particular what I heal, unless it'd hurt others. [ People, plants, animals. Life. It's her duty to help all. ]
no subject
A druid or shaman then? Can you heal the land? [He gestures briefly to the darkened bank in the distance before them with its dying trees and corrupted wildlife.]
