Report I
[As the dream begins, there is a simple stretch of land shown. It looks like a stretch of land one might find in the western part of her world. There's no city or town within sight of it, though there are some mountains off in the distance, their peaks cloaked in the white of snow and ice.
At first, all one sees is the healthy grasses and wildflowers gently swaying in the small breezes which blow through this apparent valley. There's no person within immediate sight, but if one observes some of those flowers and grasses, they would note that some of the petals of the flowers have an unnatural reddish hue and the the same can be said for some of the blades of grass, their green turned into a wet rusty color as if someone bleeding and injured had passed through them.
If one were to follow that grim trail, they'd eventually the woman responsible for it seated in a area where the grasses have been cut down close to the grown. Unlike within her previous dream, she's only within part of her usual attire, the coat being the most obvious thing missing. The next most obvious thing is the blood which graces the front of her chest from the shoulder down. Beneath the mess is the wound responsible for it and even though it has already healed in waking... it has had such impact and importance to her, she's kept it from vanishing so simply here.
It doesn't seem to bother her much however, and thus her mind is currently elsewhere forming plans for the time to come ahead.]

Beyond her birds, there is no other sign of wildlife to be found within this dream, thus the appearance of the butterfly is in its own way, curious.]

If those are meant for me, I've no need of them. If you could help me find something to save my friends though, that would serve me better.

[That said, she utilized what control she held in this dream of hers to give herself a bowl of water and a cloth with which she could clean away the blood away from the injury that, now that she was allowing it to, was already rapidly healing on its own.
Once she had washed away the last of the blood from her chest and shoulder she dismissed both the water and cloth from the landscape, turning her attention back to the butterfly.]
Are you satisfied now?

He recognizes her at once. How could he not, even if they hadn't met before? They're so alike. Though he's never been injured in battle, never had a wound like that. There's much that could be asked about this scene, but he focuses on the practical first.]
You're injured. Let me heal you.

I kept it from healing here just yet.. it's already gone in reality. But it let me bridge that gap that was forming.. so I wanted to keep it. Just for a little while longer.
[It wasn't like it could really endanger her life, and it seemed a minor inconvenience to suffer through for the importance it held to her.]
If it disturbs you though, I can let it heal.
no subject
No, if that was your choice, then leave it as you will.
[He'll respect her choice, whatever her reason for it, and it's true that it isn't a life-threatening injury.]
What happened?
[He suffered no such wound in his past, and he knows she comes from an earlier time, but of course, their lives must be different in some ways, even if they are the same in others.]

Angeal tried to intercede and Genesis refused to back down. As a result of his lashing out at Angeal, I gained this injury due to the positions we were in at the time.
[Her eyes open then and look up at him.] Genesis was shocked I think to see me bleeding.. and him the cause of it.

[It doesn't surprise him a great deal. Any alternate reality would have a number of differences. But it gives him pause.]
He didn't heal.
[He frowns. His voice is quiet.]
He may not have been injured, but he may begin to degrade soon. That was when it began. But it may be different, for you.

I have plans to speak with Hollander now that I have time to do so. [There's steel in those words. She doesn't expect that conversation to be an easy one, but she is determined to learn what she can from that man regardless.]
Hopefully, I can learn why it'll occur, and from there with time and research, perhaps I might learn a manner to at least slow it, if I can not halt or reverse it.

[Sephiroth was unsure of the extent of what the man had done, but it was clear that he was not to be trusted, not to be underestimated. What these people are capable of... It's something even he might not have believed, before he'd experienced it.]
Be watchful.
When the degradation begins, Genesis' mind will be affected, as well as his body. He may not be rational. That was why the situation escalated quickly, until it was out of anyone's control.
