Wish 001

[Delicate snowflakes flutter down, shining stark white in the moonlight against a starless sky, somehow more delicate and intricate than normal snowflakes; special snowflakes. The ground is already coated in perfect, undisturbed white snow, piled in fluffy drifts, except for a single set of footprints.]

[Follow the footprints through the rolling drifts and copses of sweet-smelling evergreens to a lone park bench, and you'll find Yui, hands loose in her lap, bundled up in a scarf, hat, thick red jacket and a pair of jeans. She's vaguely aware that this is a dream, that in reality, she's in a different kind of snowy place--but for now it's nice to get away from it all. It's nice to dream.]

[She sighs and leans back into the bench, her breath fogging in the chilly air, taking a vague but recognizable shape--dispersing just before the pattern can be identified. There's something magic about the snow tonight. She wonders, vaguely, if there's a reason that the constellations in the midnight sky above are hidden from view.]

ooc: this can be themed or not as you like, just tell me in the subject or something. ♥

[It's slow going, but there it is: Ami continues her careful progress, always with their hands joined. If one of them stumbles, the other can - hopefully - steady them.]

And when we reach the top?

We'll see.

[It's an echo of agreement, and soon enough they're so close that she strains the last little distance.]

Just another few inches.

[Ami lifts herself up and out of the fissure. She lets herself lay beside Yui, not moving for several moments.]

I'm fine. [The only she'd ever give to that question.]

Let's go before the ground becomes unstable again.

Shouldn't you be the one to decide, in your own land?

[The earthquake. No, that makes her nervous for an entirely different reason.]

It doesn't matter. The tremors stopped now.

[But earthquakes were the domain of the element of, of course, Earth...]

We'll take care of that when it comes.

DO NOT

We'll climb back up again. [But right this moment, there's no way to predict exactly what would happen.]

LIES

[It's the only answer they have, yet.]

There's no choice for the time being.

[identity profile] waterfell.livejournal.com 2011-08-03 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Besides. I won't let go this time either.
