[ Charles is standing in a field. Behind him - in a distance is a house that is his in Westchester in 1962. It's quiet here, and he is enjoying the quiet, though he definitely wasn't expecting it. Last he recalled, he was dripping wet and standing aboard a CIA ship. This was a pleasant surprise, and he was mostly aware that it was a dream. He let his hands slip into his pockets as he took to the quiet grounds.
It is bright outside, cloud free. He looks up, a smile spread across his lips. He thinks of Raven, and how much she might enjoy a few moments here with him. Then he thinks of those CIA agents that he had just met. The clouds change just a little bit when his thoughts change, briefly darkening. The smile fades, just a little, and is replaced with curiosity and a bit of concern.
He turns on a heel and looks around. He's never had a dream be so vivid. ]
[[ ooc; yaaaaaay. finally first posting. Also! permissions posts are good for telepaths. You can also note here on yes or no on mind-reading. :) ]]

No, it doesn't. Anyone would get lost in something that did that.
[ Pause. He somehow thinks he's going to regret asking this. ]
Seven hundred years?

Right, yes, sorry. Forgot. I'm a Time Lord! We live a considerable amount of time longer than you humans do. I'm over nine hundred years old... give or take a few Earth centuries.

[ But, oh, how he is utterly fascinated by this fact. ]
I can't imagine what you could see and do with all that time.

[ He grins. ] I'll have to show you sometime.

[ Shoves his hands into his pocket. ]
Offers like that don't exactly arise every day.

[ Grin as he walks with his hands in his pockets. ]
Besides, quiet is good for studying. When I want noise, I go to a pub.
