It's a castle unlike anything mankind has seen. True -- castles of all different shapes and sizes have littered throughout civilizations. Grand palaces covered in gold and kingdoms forbidden to even the common folk of their glorious empire.

But what makes this kingdom so special? If you look up, it's not the normal sky. Instead, the backdrop is the black blue color of space and hovering above is a view of the Earth.



Welcome to the Mare Serenitatis, The Sea of Serenity., dear dreamer. In the center, protected by a large and magical bio dome is a large castle. The roof tops are reminiscent of from India but it's not the only predominant ancient Earth kingdom influences -- although looking through the castle one can see that this castle backdates anything that Mankind has ever known. Where you are now is in the courtyard. There's the main pathway lined in polished white stone and fountain plinths adorn the water surrounding the mini fields of flowers inside of the courtyard.

Standing in one of the many areas of flowers is a lone woman. Most who know her would recognize her as Usagi Tsukino: the young girl with blue eyes and that peculiar hairstyle. But, this lovely lady embodies something the young girl has not honed yet. She is graceful, quiet and wise. She wears a gown pearl in color with an opaque pink ribbon that almost looks like wings that span from the waist of her dress. Her hair is still up in that familiar style, but atop of her head is a small golden crown and gracing her forehead is an upturned golden crescent moon.

Mistress of this castle; she is the only one in the courtyard and her eyes are staring quietly at the Earth, unaware of any one who may have stumbled upon this spot.

(OOC: Will be responding with timelessmoon As with the other fast-forwarded time skip entries, feel free to assume CR if the situation calls for it I'm not too picky. Also IT'S USAGI'S BIRTHDAY TODAY! \o\;;;)

Is that not what a mercenary does? Act alone?

[ He may not admit it, but she will. So, excuse her Cloud, while she calls you out on your statement. ]

Or do you work with a partner? If you do, then I apologize for my assumption. [ Somehow though, Serenity has a feeling that he has no partner. It's also another way she's trying to divert the attention to the fact she is alone in the castle of her dreams. ]

[there's no waiver in his eyes as they meet hers. No emotion in his voice or face as he simply answers:]

At the base of everything, everyone is the same, Cloud. We are all a Star looking for others' shine.

[ Her hand raises upwards -- fingers hovering the space above his heart and where she knows his Star is. It still feels the same as it always has and it's comforting to know. ]

So your first statement is true: No one should be alone and that includes you.

[there's another chin tuck and a slight pulling back when her hand comes near him again this time. Aversion to touch is quietly obvious. His scowl is reactive. His answer comes out gruff.]

Not everyone's the same. Some people are monsters.

[and then his head lifts and he looks around the empty courtyard.]

[ She understands the monsters that people can be. But, even if she's older, there's still that hope that even monsters can be redeemed in some form or fashion.

Unless they were Chaos, but that's a whole different story. ]

There are no people here because this kingdom has long since died out. [ She did tell him that she would answer his questions if he introduced himself. ] I am the only one left of this world.

[he hadn't expected her to actually follow through with her promise and it catches him a little off guard. Which he covers by looking around the empty kingdom again. Even a hard bitten mercenary can understand that pretty, sad eyed girls shouldn't be all alone. One hand finds a hip and his feet shift.]

Well, I'm here now too. So you're not the only one left anymore. And when I get out of here, I'll bring you too. You can stay with Tifa. There's plenty of people there.

[ But there's a bitter sweet smile that spreads on her lips before she turns and then points up to the beautiful blue gem that hangs up in the dark and inky sky. ]

But, I can not leave this place. I am connected to it as it is to me.. as it is to that place.

I am its protector for all eternity. [ Serenity lifts a hand into the air and points to the Earth. ] It is the least I can do for this place.

[there's a slight frown at her refusal and he turns to scowl up at the brilliant ball of color in her starlit sky. Arms folded across his chest, unimpressed, he states:]

Gaia? You shouldn't have to be here much longer than. Everyone knows it's dying.
