4th Reunion [OPEN] To Kill a Dinosaur
With a sickening squish the double bladed katana was removed from the dinosaur’s neck. The beast writhed on the ground, unable to scream or cry due to the blood that spurted out of the wound in its throat.
Kadaj walked in a wide circle around it. “Well, what do we have here?” He stopped at the head and crouched down next to its face, careful not to bloody himself. “You’re an ugly little monster aren’t you…” He stood and pressed his boot against its cheek, pushing its face away. The blood continued to squirt out evenly but in slow dying arcs from its neck. Only moments before the young remnant had been disturbed by this. . . thing trying to eat him. It was the last action it would ever do.
The teen's brows furrowed as he took in the sight of the creature. “You’re not from Gaia.” That was… unsettling. But there was one thing that was familiar through all of this. A sensation. A pull, no—a compulsion to travel in a particular direction. And while he had never felt this urge before he knew exactly what it was.
The dinosaur’s gasping breaths shook him from his thoughts. Kadaj looked down to note that its face was completely covered in thick dark blood. It clawed at its throat and kicked its legs weakly. Its eyes, large and beady black, stared at the remnant’s uncaring gaze, suffering.
Kadaj clicked his tongue in disgust. Though he would very much like to watch it die a slow and painful death as punishment, he decided to end it quickly. He wanted to find whatever was calling out to him.
“Don’t look at me that way.” He casually warned before abruptly jabbing the sword right into the monster’s trachea. It gurgled and sputtered for a final time. Did it die from choking on its own beastly fluids or blood loss? Whichever it was, it was irrelevant. The thing was dead and no longer held any interest. The dinosaur’s body fell completely limp and its once animalistic frightened eyes rolled back into its head. Kadaj smirked. “That’s better.”

Hi thar! :D :D
"Were you hunting them?" She might not mind joining in something like that. She was entirely unaware of his compulsion, and likely to waste his time.
Y HALLO
“Who are you?” He demanded to know. Trust was not something he gave out—it was reserved for a select few, and even then he found it difficult. He expertly twirled his sword, more out of anticipation and desire to show off than anything else. It was a warning to the stranger, should they be foolish enough to attempt anything.
Kadaj did not mind having an audience. He was practically created to show off. Any opportunity to show Mother how strong he was, was taken.

It was her own warning in return. She'd never stand there to be cut down. His coloring was reminiscent of Sephiroth, and strange in Mercury's world; in the dream, it was even easier to wonder: Could they be connected somehow?
no subject
“Is that right?” He was still more interested in his recent kill. There had been nothing like this on Gaia. He finally glanced at her, feline eyes piercing through the fringes of silver hair. “Then what do you want with me?”
no subject
"You and I both arrived here unbidden. If you're strong enough to kill that thing, you're worth going further with. That's all." They may as well explore it together, for lack of anyone else.

“What do you know about this?” He made a wide sweeping gesture at the landscape. His tone reflected what he felt. “Is this ShinRa’s doing? Tell me!”
no subject
She measures her words. She's come to be somewhat close to some of the employees of ShinRa she's met in her dreams. Heh. So even she can be loyal enough to be protective, these days.
"This isn't ShinRa," she says truthfully. "This... is probably a dream." It's not a difficult conclusion, now that his panic has made it seem wrong that dinosaurs are here and that she's talking to this man she's never seen, who doesn't belong among humans any more than she does.
She gives a somewhat sly smirk as she begins to relax a little, being able to answer honestly. "They say once you realize you're dreaming, you can control it." This could become fun.

He gestured with one hand, then cast a fire spell on the corpse. The flames, a pale rose in color, consumed the flesh. "I assume you have no mastery over beasts."
no subject
“You again.”
The flames rose as they ate away at the scaly meat. The eyes burned first, bubbling black goo that melted inwards towards the skull. Kadaj watched as the skin tightened and exposed bone turned black. The stench was awful.
Beasts belonged to the planet. They were just as worthless as the humans. Summons and Shadow Creepers on the other hand were another story entirely.
“What is it you want this time?”
no subject
Kuja's fire, unlike Sephiroth's, glimmered rose and gold and violet, as colorful as its creator, though its power was no less.
"What do I want? Oh, nothing in particular. I happened to witness your act, no more, so you might call me an interested party. You're a brutal creature, aren't you?"
He smiled. "What is it that you want?"
no subject
Kadaj smirked at the question. Oh, he had been asked that question so many times! The answer was always the same, “Mother. That’s what I want. That’s all I want.” He narrowed his eyes to study the man. Exactly who was he? Maybe a ShinRa spy.
Ha! The idea was outright laughable! He didn’t blend in and as for getting information he was a complete failure. “You remind me of the humans at those clubs,” Kadaj said casually. “You know,” he shrugged, the corners of his lips twisted upwards, “the ones where they go when they get desperate.”

Kuja laughed, unmoved by Kadaj's insult. "My garments were crafted especially for me. They are of fine design and highest fashion where I am from. Unlike the drab garb you're wearing. It lacks artistry, like the rest of you." Something about Kadaj did interest him, if only slightly, but he wasn't aesthetically interesting, except perhaps for the silver of his hair and the brightness of his eyes. No, he was interested in the creature's origins and anger. He'd had anger like that once, before it had drained away, leaving him as he is now. He doesn't wish to find it again, but it makes him curious...
"How odd that you would mention humans and sound so much like a human yourself. I have no care for human standards of modesty. There's nothing human in me and never was."
