Timeskip: Choose Your Own Adventure

Scenario A

[You’re not allowed to look. The blindfold is almost heavy with implications as it sits across your face, but you need to remember- you’re not allowed to look.]

[Looking will ruin everything, the boy says, gripping your hand and leading you down the hallway. He’s blindfolded, too, but he seems to know exactly where he’s going. Looking will ruin everything- trust me.]

[And so you traverse the dark with little more explanation than-

Something important lies ahead. I promised.]

[Even knowing that, the darkness is stifling.]

Scenario B

[You're not allowed to leave. Your limbs are heavy and so is your heart. But you're not alone. A boy is with you, sitting with you in this white chair in a white room, clutching your hand because you and him - you're waiting.]

[Leaving will ruin everything, he says. And no matter how sleepy, or tired, or heavy our heart is, we're not allowed to give up.]

[He'll be here. He promised.]

[OOC: Depending on the choice made, here, you’ll be tagging with either [livejournal.com profile] lockandkeyblade or [livejournal.com profile] vacationisalie . You can post more than once if you’d like to play out both!]

[This is much surer ground, and Mercury tosses her head.]

They can try.

[Her tone says the rest: they won't get anywhere for trying.]

[It's soft at first, the barest of whispers that reach their ears. But eventually the sound grows, like voices beyond the door conversing with each other.]

[And maybe, just maybe. Mercury may recognize one or two of them. The voices of friends or family, from once upon a time.]

[There's no one she calls friend these days. But despite her stubborn semantics, there are voices she almost thinks she distinguishes. She turns her head, as though listening for their source.]
