☆ she dreams of stars 001;
At a glance, this just seems to be a normal and peaceful dream. The sky is a bright blue color that seems to expand on forever. The green grass sways with a gently and comforting wind that passes through and the sound of water flowing through the creeks adds to the music that nature has created. There are trees off in the distance. The huge canopy of green is held up by the strong brown trunks and it casts a shadow to cool yourself from.
But something is amiss. ... There's something not right with this dream.
Upon further inspection, you notice that the grass is in fact not grass. It's long tubes of green pixie stix that you can pluck from the ground and devour. The water is actually blue kool-aid and the rocks around it are upside down cups you can scoop the liquid and drink. The tree trunks are actually made of chocolate that never melts holding up text book leaves that sway back and forth, flipping pages of college material that may or may not have to do with science and math.
...what the heck kind of dream is this? And where is the dreamer?
Where you appear in her dream doesn't seem to harbor any clues but if you search you'll sure find her. Perhaps she's laying in the field of wheat and mint staring at the sky or maybe she's under a tree munching on some chocolate and reading a book she may have plucked from a tree. But somewhere in this dream scape, she is alone. In this dream of childish whims and light, she keeps to herself. No one to talk to or to keep her company.
Will you be the one to relieve her loneliness?

Chewing idly on the end of a small chocolate twig, he parts from the safety of the shady grove with the aimless gait of a practiced wanderer. Casual, but sorely out of place in his drab, black uniform -- it's only when he catches a glimpse of bright blond hair that he seems to startle.
Now who could that be, studying away beneath one lonely tree separate from the edge of the forest? The sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach is immediate, but it doesn't stop him from calling out to that figure in the distance. ]
Miss Caterina?
no subject
OOOOH! I hate this stu-- huh?
[ She's about to tug on her blonde hair hard but before she can reach up she hears a voice she doesn't recognize. It breaks her current predicament and she looks up, eyes widening just slightly. His form is far enough that she can't distinguish a face, but she sees the silver hair and the black. He contrasts to the scenery but, she doesn't feel threatened that there's someone here. So, taking a much needed break from the evils of studying, she closes her book and stands up. ]
Miss Caterina?
[ If he doesn't come up to her, she'll walk up and introduce herself. It's the polite thing to do after all since he sounds like he's searching for someone else. ]
no subject
[ Almost as soon as she stands, he realizes his mistake -- no, no, this one's much too tall to be her. Still, it's politeness that he thinks of, first, as well, and as he meets her halfway, his shoulders slump in something like an awkward, apologetic bow.
His height might paint him something intimidating, at a glance, but up close there's not so much as a hint of danger about him. There seems to be nothing behind his sheepish smile except empty space, or maybe just more of that unkempt silver hair. ]
Oh, my apologies! For a second, there, I almost mistook you for someone else, Miss. On second look, you don't appear to be anything alike.
no subject
No, it's okay!
[ He has such nice silver hair. It sort of reminds her of Queen Serenity's hair color. ]
Sometimes, our minds like to play little tricks on us. I know sometimes I've looked at the corner of my eye and thought there was this delicious piece of cake when it was something else.
[ Not.. exactly the right kind of example, but she's sure he'll get what she's saying? Maybe? ]

This is our wonderland, baby!
It's definitely the textbook leaves. Or maybe the technical blueprints that form the leaves of the marshmallow bushes. Ami browses the papers at a relaxed pace, occasionally pausing for a drink of kool-aid.
She seems to accept this dream quite easily. Then it brings her to Usagi. She pulls herself together and fires off the casual, breezy, greeting.]
It's been awhile, Tsukuno-san!
And to think, this is a tame dream compared to some of the stuff Usagi's dreamt 8|a
Still, she's going to try another tree to see if she has better luck even though she has a feeling in the back of her mind that she won't find any kind of non-educational material here.
Her hands are reaching up to the closest tree, tugging one book down to get a better look inside is until she hears a somewhat more familiar voice. ]
...?
[ Turning her head, she sees Ami there with scientific papers for leaves looking straight at her. The look on Usagi's face shows that she hadn't been expecting anyone here -- much less a version of her senshi that ... didn't like her very much, to put it very lightly. Still, she lets a smile lift up her lips. ]
Yeah, it has. How are you, Ami-chan?
Poor Usa /hugs her (and apologizes for the edits)
I was enjoying the fruits of my labors. [Yes, Mizuno Ami just made a rather bad pun. This is apparently one of her moments.]
This world has a lot of opportunities in it. [She'll be frustrated when she wakes up and the perfect theories and calculations and measurements have all left her mind with the dream fog.]
[Ami turns a thoughtful look on Usagi.] But the question that should be asked in this situation [she says quite seriously] is why Tsukino Usagi is studying from these.
[She had Usagi pegged as more of an enjoy-the-candy type.]
Oh no. I meant more on the lines of crack XD You know, like half the stuff from S1... C_C
rooofl so true XD

He was a lot younger then. Training and studying desperately to be in SOLDIER. Not that there was a lot of book learning that went into that but there was some and he'd felt so hopelessly behind being from a backwater town with minimum education he hadn't paid as much attention to as he should have anyway.
He can't remember the amount of times he fell asleep with his face smashed into a book...
The food was because, by any standards, the crap they fed the grunts in the army sucked.
He remembers being determined. And hungry.
And homesick...
The spot of pale blond comes into view eventually and he angles that way out of curiosity before he ever recognizes who it belongs to, his steps slow and mild. When he does see who it is though, his lips soften a bit and his shoulders relax the slightest bit. He says her name so that he won't startle her.]
Usagi.
no subject
No, for the time being she wanted nothing to do with studying. Nothing at all! She deserved a break. Spending most of the time at the coffee shop and then a few hours before she was supposed to curl up in bed studying called for it.
Stretching her arms up into the air above her, she lets her hands open up so the sunlight can filter through her fingertips. It obscures her vision so that she doesn't see the figure of Cloud walking towards her and it's only when he calls her name that she pulls her hand to the side to see him looking down on her. ]
..... Cloud! Hi!
[ It was a face she hadn't expected to see, but it's clear with how her eyes sparkle and the smile widens on her face that she's very glad to see him. So glad in fact that she's sitting up in a split second from that comfortable spot in the candy grass. ]

Somehow the only thing that makes sense to ask is:]
This is yours?
[and it's the whole world around them he's referring to.]

what is she heightwise?
the series has her at at 4'11? she's prolly a little taller since she's older so 5'1?
Cloud can now feel manly at a towering 5'7"!
It's okay! Everyone always towers over Usagi in canon :( She's used to it!
'towering' is going to be new to Cloud. lol He'll like it :)
/pictures Usagi trying to jump up and mess with the spikes on his hair because he's so tall
LOL!! not the hair, Usagi!!
but.. but.. it looks like so much fun to mess with ;A;

It's a while before he notices Usagi, having been intent on filling his (somehow empty) stomach with all the sweets he can eat. That goal hasn't been reached yet, but he does have an armful of candy grass, marshmallow flowers and pieces of chocolate bark.]
no subject
.... Sure, she'll go with it!
There's a small tick that someone's eating her food, but, there's plenty of it to go around. It's not like they could eat the place of everything... right? Oh well. She's going to walk over to him and offer some of those butterscotch cups to the strange looking kid with a smile. ]
no subject
He stares at the butterscotch cup for a moment before shrugging and grabbing that one as well, without even a thank you or anything, just snatching it and wolfing down on it.]

His face is still ninety-nine percent blank as he looks around, but those who look a little closer will notice the faintest hint of confusion, anxiety, tension - it's too unfamiliar. He doesn't like it.
This is almost a nightmare. ]
no subject
Well. This was a far cry from deserts and dead people and she preferred it that way. ]
Huh.
[ After inhaling the rest of said sugar, she takes a sip of her drink and then walks on over to Kashim, a small smile on her face before she stops a few feet away from him. ]
Hey, Kashim.

There's plenty of rustling amongst parts of the leaves along with some frustrated grunts and yelps. ]
Stupid book! Why are you so high up?!
[ Inside of the tree is Usagi, having climbed up a few branches to try and pluck a specific book that seems to be different from the others. Stubborn as she is, she's choosing to ignore just how far the ground really is from where she is. ]

[So when he see's someone around, he really only has one question.]
Sorry, is there any ice cream around here? Sea salt flavored?
asdflkjsdlfjds DAINE Y U DO DAT
Usagi's currently laying next to the kool-aid stream, holding an open book over her head while she chews on a piece of chocolate bark. She's flipping through a science book, sighing at all the stuff she's got to study when she hears the sudden voice through the breeze. ]
Sea salt ice cream?
[ Blink.. blink blink. ] I've never heard of that before!
CAUSE I LOVE YOU AND backtagging what
But hey, nothing like someone stating they've never heard of your favorite food, ever, to make you reassess the situation. It was looking very bleak.]
You've never heard of it?!
[Now that won't do, not at all. He stares at his hand, concentrates-]
[And then he holds out a ice cream to her, an icy block, bright blue in color.]
Here.
