(no subject)

The scene is not so different from the last dream brought forth from her... or at least the location is not so different. The house remains the same--but the weather is certainly different. It is warm, bright, distinctly... uplifting. Not like before when something seemed to be off balance no matter what happened.

This time the doorway of the house is wide open and the smell of food being prepared drifts from the house. Tomoe eventually emerges, taking a deep breath just outside the door before looking up at the bright sky, a near smile pulling at her lips.

Everything... just seemed right with the world right now.

[ooc; not sure what the bad end is going to be yet, or if I'll even do the bad end... but basically she has a perfect family life right now--things worked out with her husband and her brother and father and all is good in the world. People who tag in can either take on the roll of husband, father, brother, neighbor, etc, just let me know /o/]

"I'm doing great, thanks. My mother, though ... well, she's a little under the weather." Her hand wavers, the body language indicating she doesn't want anyone getting worried over that tidbit. "It's nothing serious. I just thought some medicine might help her get better more quickly."

"She coughs a lot, and her voice is hoarse from it," Aerith recounted, easily following Tomoe inside. "She shivers, and she hasn't complained but she moves like she's sore." Her voice carried a tone that of course Elmyra hadn't complained; their household is one of love, self-sacrifice ... and two bull-headed women, though Elmyra is more demure about it.

Aerith smiles happily as she takes the packages, looks them over and nods at Tomoe's directions. "I understand. Thanks, Tomoe. I'm glad you and your husband are here. The medicine helps a lot of people." As she rummaged gently in her garments for payment, she asked, "How are you doing, by the way? I didn't ask."

"Do you ever miss it?" Aerith asked, curious. "I know this is a quieter place..." Ah, there it is; she slips a small number of coins to Tomoe. "It doesn't catch the eyes like larger towns do."

"Ahaha. You can talk about privacy when it's just you and him!" Aerith giggles. "The second a man shows any sign of flirting, Mother wants to know, how serious is he, how serious am I, how often he travels away from town ... that's just life with family. You keep in touch with yours, right?"

"That would be nice. Now that things are becoming more peaceful, travel's starting to get less dangerous again..." Aerith smiles, looking toward some sunlight streaming into the house. "I want it to stay that way."

bah I just haven't been braining well at all lately.

"You know what, though? I've gotten so sick of hearing about how dangerous it is to go out, I started practicing a little ... self-defense, I mean." The smile she gives is soft, but a touch impish. "Maybe it's not proper for a girl to fight, but better than not knowing, don't you think?"
