001 ╰☆╮ Dreaming after a battle {intro!}

Before this dream started there was a bright flash of white light, followed by a seemingly endless flower field appears, extending way beyond to what the eyes can see and at the moment Rinoa is not quite sure if it's accurate or not, there's even the distant sound of the ocean and it's enough for her to recognize this place as what it is.

The flower field behind Edea's orphanage, a gentle drift of wind sweeps by causing the sea of flowers to sway in rhythm with it, some petals even fluttering in the wind, the wind even move through the bright white feathers of her wings, ones that she hadn't even realized yet and even if she had she won't pay any attention to them at the moment

Rinoa moved further in the flower field, kneeling down her fingers touches one of the flowers, before a deep weary sigh escaped her lips and the wings slowly start to disappear, some lingering feathers being swept away with the wind. "Did we win or…?" Had they failed?

(ooc: *coughs* why yes the last thing she remembers at the moment is fighting Ultimecia, I am going with the assumption there was a quick passing out after Ultimecia blew up.)

She is quiet for a bit, pondering on her answer or more like trying to come to with the proper words to express what she wanted to say. "I guess it’s because not only I don’t want to make people suffer, someone…before I appeared did that and marked the lives of everyone enough and I don’t want to repeat that, which is what will most likely happen if I go to such extremes."

The threat of being corrupted was always there, in the back of her mind even if she had a knight with her to remind her of her humanity, after all, Edea kind of had one and she started to turn evil due to external influence and who said that couldn’t happen to her.

"I know that some, not to say most people, might not know of it or understand the real circumstances of what I did it if it were to happen, they might even think I deserved it and that it was the best outcome, but I don’t care…I just want to spare the people I love and everyone else from the pain and danger."

"If you understand all that," she wants to know, always wants to know, "What will you do from now on, to avoid it? The one the outcome depends on is you."

She won't let that responsibility be shirked, in any world by anyone.

"Hmm, I guess in part will be to accept what…I have been passed on and to try to understand it fully." Not to mention stop fearing it as much as she still did and try not to let the opinion of others get to much to her. "And then keep not only my own strength but also trust my friends and knight since they have been with me regardless of everything."

"Your friends are the first ones likely to break when you look for their help." This comes from long, long experience. Her happier meetings in the dream world haven't erased the truth of waking: Friendship breaks apart.

"Even if they do, I will always have Sq---my knight at my side, the bond that exists between us is not one that is easily broken." Or so it seemed from what she had been told and what she had found out. "And if I’m the one to waver and fail, they know what they need to do in that case."

"Will they do it?" Or, more precisely, "Will they do it quickly enough?"

She has the disadvantage of knowing her world's natural fate: Each of them would have finally joined to fight the princess, but it would be too late. They would fail and fall, and the end would come anyway.
