Minako never once regretted the choices she's made in life. She knew that the moment she accepted Artemis' companionship, and subsequently the transformation pen he gave her, that her life would never be the same.
She's never looked back once.
The friends she's made, the people she's met, the countless number of lives they've saved, it was all worth it. It was well worth the sacrifices she's made for herself, to protect the ones she loves and will continue to love. She knows that years from the, the world will flourish and part of it is because of her.
Even still, there's still part of her that wonders what might have been. What could have been, if she had said no all those years ago. Especially tonight, as she stands outside a sold-out concert arena to her favorite idol, ear pressed against one of the doors so she could listen in. Could that have ever been her? There were days where she liked to dream it was.
Rudely interrupted by someone telling her she couldn't loiter and listen, she stuck her tongue out at their retreating back.
"Just you wait! That'll be me in there one day!"
Probably not, but she still had visions of bright lights and adoring fans. She sighed, contently, and then promptly pressed her ear against the door again.

It's been a long time since she's seen Minako. It's been a long time since she's had anything to do with the senshi girls at all. But sometimes, in her dreams, they still appear before her. Sometimes they appear like this: younger, smiling the way she sees them in those glimpses of memory.
She shuts her mind against those thoughts, and glances towards the door. "So, why not go in if you want it?"

"No tickets, and the door's locked. I'm not just going to barge in!" a quick pause. "I've tried it already. I got kicked out."

It's not the only option, of course. There's also disguising herself as a member of the backup band or a stagehand, or the singer herself. There's also the possibility of creating a fake ticket.
And when you can do those things, why not take full advantage of it?

"Ne, ne -- " she prodded as she managed to slink up the side of the wall alongside Minako. "Who's that inside, Minako-chan?"

Minako sighed heavily. She would have bought tickets for herself, but there was that really cute shirt she needed to have, and then her mom wouldn't give her any more money...

Then, suddenly, as though a light had gone off, she perked up again. "Wait! I know!" she chimed, reaching into her pocket and pulling out the disguise pen. She lifted it high into the air with a sense of triumph. "I'll be able to get in no problem with this!"
lawl meet your canon sue future self? also your post totally walked into this
the doors are slammed open by several intimidating bodyguards in the stereotypical gear of suits, ties, sunglasses inside a building, and earpieces. they're glaring at every single person in the squealing mass, then making a barrier with their bodies--
and then, there she is.
she's gorgeous. perfect, even. big cornflower blue eyes with long lashes, hair shining so softly that it must be spun gold. her dress is incredible and flaunts her perfect hourglass figure.
the idol is smiling brightly and lovingly at the crowd of screaming fans, and starts making the rounds for cell phone photos and autographs. she even hugs those bold enough to ask.
eventually, she'll be heading your way.]
sobbing future self
This would be a hundred times better than seeing the concert. She was going to meet her idol! Excited wasn't the right word. The others would be so jealous! She invited them to go, but no, she was the only one dedicated enough. Who wanted to go see some dumb movie they've already seen again?
She held onto her CD and pen tightly, bouncing in her spot.]
WOW HOW FUCKING LATE IS THIS JAYSUS
and that's when she sees Minako.
Mina freezes. it's for such a small moment that no one but her bodyguards notice, watching her intently as they're trusted (and paid) to do. she smiles suddenly, and does an odd little motion that only her men understand - and in seconds, the limo is pulled up, Mina is striding purposely towards it, and Minako is being gently pushed that way as well.
Mina sits in the limosine and leans out, beckoning.]
