He knows he can be hard to read, even for people who are close to him, but it's always been difficult for him to soften his manner. Having a family has done him some good where that's concerned, and he's able to smile when she laughs, as if it's all a joke between the two of them, and quite possibly, it is.

"You know I like eating at home," he says, and it's true; he isn't particular about what he eats, as long as it's healthy and well-prepared. "This is for you. And because of that, we'll go wherever you like."
