The blood concerned her more than his words. She knew how trauma could make one say nonsensical things and thus she paid them little enough mind, if he thought her his mother, perhaps that would aid her in helping him. She used words she'd heard directed toward other children years and years ago, in another place, another time. They'd just feed the other man's delusion for now, but if it kept him mollified until she got him out of the precarious position he was in now and to somewhere she could examine his injuries and then treat him, then she saw no real harm in keeping that delusion going.

"You have made me proud. Just hold on a little while longer for me, alright? This place isn't safe to stay in, so we need to move away from it. Can you hold onto me while I move you away from here to somewhere safer?"
