In fact, the fact they're so close only faciliates the kiss itself, pulls her closer into that too even though she feels like she's almost drowning already with the passion and desperation that comes from his kiss, even though it's natural considering the circumstances.
But she still bears those feelings of his as much as she can, if not just to make the kiss carry on for as long as they can.
