He makes a soft sound in answer, absorbs the information in silence. Finally, just as quietly, he murmurs:
"When I was a little kid, the girl next door used to practice her piano at the same time every night. I used to hide in the shadows against that side of my house and listen to it through her window.... It always made me feel better."
