The dreamscape this time around is dark. It's a twisted world, a strange pit that loosely resembles his childhood home of Destiny Islands. And he's just... Sitting there. Injured, to reflect the hard battle he fought back in the waking world. But it hadn't been enough, and there's a rip in his shirt to show as much. And there, right on his chest, peeking out of the rip in his shirt, is a black and red symbol, though only a corner can be seen.


He's just lost for the moment, staring straight ahead.]

...I... He really...




[[OOC: The symbol is only from his own perceived state and a reflection of what happened to him. Yup, folks, he lost his heart, making him permanently here until it's gotten back.]]

[It's been too long.]

[He's missed out, and Sora's paid the price.]

[He starts walking towards him, then trotting. Breaks into a run, skidding in the gravel and sliding down to Sora's side, pulling him into a fierce hug. Holding him close and keeping him safe, keeping him safe why, why could he keep him safe?]

[He nearly jumps when those arms go around him, but it's comfortable. It's Roxas and that means he's safe and comfortable and everything is okay now. He buries his face in his friend's should, trying not to let the tears fall. He has to be strong, right?]

...I'm scared.

[It's so easy to admit right now. To say it. He doesn't know what to do, he's panicking and afraid and he doesn't want to be like this.]

It's okay to be scared; I'm scared too. [He can relate. He's been scared so many times, except he's never had the chance to believe he really was. Being around Sora- both of them, had changed that.]

I've been scared loads of times.

But you know who always got me through those times? Taught me it was okay to be scared?

[He'll look up at Roxas. His eyes--always open books--are looking for some hope to cling to, some way to know he can somehow make it through this impossible to survive situation. If anyone has the answers, it's Roxas.]

[And it's true. All the times he's had to be brave, it's always been for Sora. To disappear for him, for fight for him, to bleed for him-- more often than not, this has been for the Sora he's connected to, but he remembers sands and waves, and a small child wanting to stay in the dark forever. He remembers tears, and a small body in his arms, seeking comfort.]

[Whenever he has to be brave, it's always because of Sora that he can be.]

[There are no words. Instead, Sora buries his face in Roxas' chest. He draws in closer, just letting the tears fall. Because now it seems okay. He's safe, but it's okay to be afraid of things. So he'll just let the tears fall, and he'll quietly cling to Roxas.]

[He sort of wishes Sora didn't have to be strong yet. In comparison to the vibrant, older teen that was his own Other, this Sora just seemed so...vulnerable.]

[But life wasn't that easy. Roxas had been this age when he'd first--]

[He rubs at his eyes a bit after a few moments, but otherwise doesn't disentangle himself from Roxas. He's comfortable, feels safe, just like this.]

[...It's just...an endless circle. Roxas rubs his face wearily, putting on a small smile for Sora's sake. But it's small, and it looks so...]

Don't worry. You-- the other Sora. He was turned into a Heartless too. He came back from it.

But-- when you come back, you need to do something. It's really, really important, Sora.

[There's hope. He can come back--just like the other Sora. He just has to be patient. Even if it's not his strong suit, he can do it.]

When the Sora from my waking world lost his heart, something happened. Someone very new came into existence, and he was lost, and scared, and vulnerable.

He's going to need you, Sora. He's really going to need you.

[He looks into Sora's eyes, dead serious.]

Promise me, when you get your heart back, you'll look for them.

[But he will promise, definitely. Because Roxas is important to him. And he'd promise anything.]

[A small pause of hesitation, before Roxas smiles. It's small, slightly pained, but it's there. Just for Sora.]

Me.

You've gotta look for me.

[Don't let me go through everything alone again, Sora.]

[He can't... Understand. What does Roxas mean?]

When you lose your heart, sometimes, when you're really strong-- your body keeps existing. The new person [Monster.] is called a Nobody. A person without a heart.

[Roxas shifts, releasing Sora from his hold and standing slowly, quietly looking around the area and reliving Sora's memories of the place. His own Other, not the Sora before him.]

And sometimes, when you're really strong...

Sometimes, your heart comes back. And even though you're two completely different people...you'll always be connected. I guess-- I know you better than anyone.

If you don't leave me, then I won't leave you. All you have to do is find me first.

[He won't be alone. But better yet, he'll be with his own Roxas. He rubs at his eyes to clear the tears and then stands, smiling, just a bit.]
