ღ Fifth Keychain ღ Naught But a Shadow
--Shadow
[Eyes fly open. Sora sits up in his bed in the Traverse Town Inn, drawing shaky breaths. He'd had a nightmare, he swears it. Why else would he hear his dad's voice...? One look around, though, and he heaves a relieved sigh. Just a bad dream. Nothing more. So he crawls out of bed, heading over to the washbasin set aside on the dresser. He cups his hands in the water, then splashes it over his face. However, the sight that greets him in the mirror is something he doesn't like seeing and it causes him to stumble backwards.
His skin has darkened to a deep tan, like he's been in the sun a lot lately. His eyes are a brilliant gold. And his hair is a pale white. His clothes have been replaced by a red and black veined bodysuit that looks almost like muscle with the Heartless emblem emblazoned on the chest. On the back of a nearby chair is an entirely black cloak.]
The Master beckons. There is work to be done, Shadow.
[Sora looks over. In the corner is a harmless Soldier Heartless.]
S-Shadow? Master!? No...! I left, I left--!
[But the appearance in the mirror, the clothing, this Heartless all say otherwise.]
My name is Sora!
[He doesn't stick around to answer. Instead, Sora tears out of the door into the hallways, and then out into the streets. He had grabbed the cloak, and it's now thrown over his shoulders, hood up. What's going on!? Had his leaving all been a dream...!?
Needless to say, the frightening little boy isn't paying attention to where he's going.]
