[It's a convention center. Is it Comic-Con? Dragon*Con? Who knows. But it's not an anime con though. This isn't Hiro's dream. Sylar's never even been to a con so maybe it's not his, either. But he's here. Among the swarms of nerds who haven't showered, are wearing disturbingly ill-fitting cosplay, or both, he's leaning against a display with his arms crossed, scanning the area for escape routes.

Peter is really fucking lucky he cares. >:( ]

[ It's probably a conglomeration of all conventions ever. Which means, yeah, it's the epitome of ridiculous nerds everywhere. And like any good convention goer, Peter's gotten really good at... avoiding looking at the nerds wearing things that they shouldn't.

Instead he wants to just dig through old school comics. But he can't do it when Sylar's being a party pooper. ] Look, it's not that bad.

[Short miniskirt.
Tight bodysuit and a body to suit.
Tall knee-high boots.
And that sword looks rather real, but it must just be a good prop...

Mercury has arrived. She looks entirely happy to be here, with a secretive but no less bright smile as various ~~fanboys~~ ~~nerds~~ admirers crowd around to exclaim over the perfect 'costume'.

Every convention needs at least someone who can rock their outfit, after all. She smiles back at them, makes a few remarks, and thrills to the attention.]

Are you enjoying yourself?

[ Peter...really doesn't mind all that much, considering Sylar's less creepy then some unknown nerd breathing down his neck. And after pulling some comic out from the pile, he looks over his shoulder. ]

Yeah, actually. You tired of this, yet?

Are you supposed to be famous or something?

[Sylar, really. It's a cute girl in a short skirt. Japanese, no less. In the middle of a con.

Though she just might have been playing up to it with the little poses (which somehow seem perfect) and lines (that seem straight from a magical girl anime somehow...)

After all, she's Mercury. She gives Peter a coy smile and demurs.]

I like to be noticed. But I want to get a moment to breathe now. Thank you for giving the chance.

I don't mind. I'm just amazed we found something you enjoy.

[This, of course, leaves it open for the assumption she hopes he'll make: that she's just taking on a role and prefers not to give her true name.]

I'm assuming that your stage name. ... Or whatever.

[She points to herself, which might be pointing to the costume.]

It's just this. After all, when we're somewhere like this, we should join in the fun, right?

I'm not -- I'm just here for a friend.

If you'd rather be doing something else, what would you prefer?

I don't know. There are worse things that being here.

I might look like this, but I haven't really come to one before, either. It's sort of fun; everyone's very energetic.

It might be a little too high key for me. But I guess he likes it, so.

So you only came for friendship?

Something like that.

I wonder if I would do that.

[Which, of course, doesn't answer it. But didn't he just see her the center of everyone's attention?

Yeah. It had been about as real as when she'd brainwashed her class to treat her that same way, gushing over her lunch, sharing theirs with her, jostling each other to talk to her. It had disappeared the second she loosened her spell, just like everyone here will forget her in an hour.]

[Tomoe... has never seen anything like this before... ever. And really, she should have been more concerned, suddenly finding herself in such incredibly strange surroundings and with no seeming explanation as to how she found herself there... but for some reason those points which should have been all-consuming seemed to roll off her back.]

[And instead, she was more concerned with the wave of young men who seemed far too interested in her kimono and it's... 'authenticity'. She answered them with cold silence, trying to make her way through the crowd and find a quieter area to gather her thoughts.]

You're really that surprised?

With you? Yeah.

[ asfajlk THE COINCIDENCE, THE SURPRISE. THE SHOCK. AND THE AWKWARD STARING, IT IS ALMOST TOO MUCH TO HANDLE. Peter even forgets to talk there for just about... a whole minute. Or less. Something like that. He's too busy just... staring at Sylar. ]

... What, did you think you'd never find something I liked?
