Lethe and the Quest for the Golden Bracelet

She is nothing more than a traveler, to first appearances, clad in a concealing cloak that shelters her visage, dark colored to shield her from the unseasonable, cloying heat. She poles a shallow boat down the curves of a long, winding river, sparing only an occasional glance to the people she passes by. They all seem concentrated on one side, staring across to the opposite bank, blankly unaware of their surroundings.

As a weapon, she has only the pole of her ferry. As provisions, she has only a very small amount of food tucked away in a cloth bundle. There is nothing of privilege or ostentation here; but that is what she hopes to find. There are rumors, rumors of a golden bracelet that may even have magical properties...
